I admit that I had a few concerns buying from a dealership and person in a distant city, but everything I researched suggested that it would be ok. It was way better than ok. I had absolutely no surprises and everyone I dealt with at the dealership was very helpful and friendly. It was a great experience and very easy transaction. When I arrived, Chris picked me up and then spent quite a bit of time with me explaining the features of the car and even went on a test drive with me prior to purchase. He also followed up 4 days later to make sure I was still happy. It was definitely worth my time flying to Denver and I enjoyed a mini vacation driving back to Montana. When we decided to trade in for a 2015 Outback we did not want to go anywhere else. Mitchell Biery was wonderful as a salesperson - low key, polite and fun to work with. We had to push the manager a bit on the trade in value for our 2009 but they agreed quickly and we had a deal. We have purchased 5 Subarus and this is by far the best dealership we have dealt with. Carl was very willing to take the time to answer my questions or chat about climbing. He also shared information about Subarus freely and honestly. I never felt pressured to make a commitment, or pushed towards one model or another. It was a very comfortable experience an Carl felt very genuinely interested in us finding the right car for us. When we were ready to make a decision, he took us for a final test drive and then walked us through the whole process. (We ended up with a 2015 Crosstrek.) The only possible complaint - and I consider this very minor - is that things took quite a long time. I do wonder if things could've moved along a little more efficiently once it became clear that a decision was made. That said, I would rather spend an extra hour in the process than feel pressured at any point. The bottomline is that I'd highly recommend asking for Carl if you are looking to buy a Subaru, and if you are in some kind of hurry: just let him know up front and be ready to maybe much things along. He proactively worked a body damage issue they discovered when prepping the new car and was able to get if fixed like new with an absolute minimum of effort on my part. I only had to pay for the rental car which he set me up with right after I dropped off my 2015 WRX for repair. Great Experience We started our purchase of a 2015 Outback by looking around and decided that we would not deal with another dealer because of how rude the floor sales We started our purchase of a 2015 Outback by looking around and decided that we would not deal with another dealer because of how rude the floor salesman was to us. Finally, we used some online sources and received several responses to our inquiry. Of all of them, Shortline was the only one to come forward with the vehicle we wanted, at an incredibly fair price. They included all charges, as well as the features that we wanted. Everyone else started off with slightly different vehicles at elevated prices or refused to give full information. This is even though all of the vehicles would have had to be pre-ordered. Understandably nervous about the deal falling through, or switch techniques, I made a few emails to the Internet Sales Manager, Eric Violante, and his responses were always calm and reassuring. The car arrived and there were no surprises. Everything was as we asked and we were not pressured into anything. Eric Addy was on the spot with financing and got us a better rate than we had through a pre arranged creditor. He offered us all of the warranties, as he should, and we were able to negotiate, fully informed, on what we wanted without the subterfuge that one usually finds at a dealership. Indeed, Mr. Addy was very forthcoming about what we were doing. It was truly nice to work with honorable people. Shortline is our dealership of choice. More
