This was my first time buying a BMW. This is a professional and courteous dealership. I worked w/ Alexis who was great. They seem recognize that customers don't want a lot of hassle when buying a car. Their prices are good (used BMW prices comparable or better than C**Max). I've only had the car a few days but no problems so far. Initially, was planning on a used 5 series, but after test driving a new 2013 335xi, I changed course. I have to admit, Alexis is a good salesperson, it was her suggestion to drive the new 3-series based on what I was looking for. And while I ended up spending more money, I am much happier (I'm sure her sales manager is as well). The dealership is brand new and beautiful. It's like stepping into modern art museum full of BMWs. I've noticed that some other review sites, Y*** filters out all of the positive review for Schomp, if you read the unfiltered reviews, they are much better. Y*** has had a history of unethical practices so take their reviews with a grain of salt. G+ reviews are more in-line with what you will experience at the dealer... hope this helps. More
I have included excerpts from a letter I composed and sent to BMW USA on January 5, 2013. I received a response from them albeit "lip service". I did not receive a response from Ralph Schomp BMW. "I sche sent to BMW USA on January 5, 2013. I received a response from them albeit "lip service". I did not receive a response from Ralph Schomp BMW. "I scheduled an appointment with this dealer on January 2, 2013, my clock and data had been resetting intermittently and the tire pressure monitor system indicated low pressure in all 4 tires. I received word from the rep that the battery needed to be replaced and that they checked the TPM system and resolved the issue. I picked it up that afternoon and met friends for dinner that evening. When I returned to my car, the tire pressure monitor indicated low pressure in the front passenger tire, at that point I was not concerned until I was on the road and noticed the car was pulling to the right. When I finally located a gas station with an air pump, I noticed that the valve stem cap was missing. I would have not been concerned had it 1) been a standard factory valve cap and 2) not been in for service a few hours prior to this occurring. Cutting to the chase, the general service manager contacted me and argued about sending me a replacement. After spending 20 minutes on the phone and leaving a voice message regarding my intention to contact BMW USA, he finally relented and sent a replacement." I found their customer service to be somewhat non existent, with the exception of Patricia who attempted to resolve my issue. More
Found the car online (650 miles from my home) and began an email/text conversation with Joe McCallister. He answered all questions, of which I had many! He was very pleasant and helpful. I bought the car sight unseen (except pictures), and Joe took additional pics of the areas I couldn't see in the advertising pics. Joe was very helpful and clearly wanted to earn my business! When my wife and I arrived at the airport we were picked up by Dan Hinrichs, who was very pleasant and helpful as well! We were treated well all along the way, and they even found a fog light out and replaced while we waited. Dan Hinrichs took us to lunch while we waited and even offered to pay! I have been involved in various levels of management in the automotive industry for 20 years and generally don't buy cars from dealers, but this experience was fantastic! This was my first time purchasing a vehicle on my own, all of the ones before had been purchased by my parents. I was both excited and extremely nervous! I had a few challenges with my credit score (thanks to when I was a silly teenager who knew nothing about credit cards) so I was fearful that I wouldn't even be able to purchase a car! I found the perfect car, a 2006 Black BMW 325i, I was in love from the moment I sat down in the black leather seats. I filled out all the paperwork and left the dealership so Jesse and Schomp could work their magic... and boy did they ever! I got the call from Jesse that I had been approved! I was purchasing my first car all on my own! I was so excited and grateful to not only Jesse, but to everyone at Schomp BMW. Every person at that dealership was so accommodating and friendly! I can honestly say that I will never purchase a vehicle from anywhere else! More
