Bad Used Car Purchase Summary: Once my car was paid for had to pester them about shipping the car to me, was lied to about the state of the car and damages to it(which the Summary: Once my car was paid for had to pester them about shipping the car to me, was lied to about the state of the car and damages to it(which they at first tried to blame the shipping company), when calling to just get my spare key promised to me and I was ignored. Dealt with: Robert Ashby & Carlo Sansotta This past January I purchased a 2011 Z4 from Schomp, while I love the car I will NEVER purchase a thing from this dealership again nor suggest it to anyone. I would in fact suggest avoid using this dealership. I live in DC and I couldn't physically view the car myself, instead I spoke with Carlo Sansotta about getting additional pictures and wanted details about any damages, scraps, state of brakes & tires; just trying to get an overall idea of the condition of the car. Made inquiries about if there were any missing items or if standard things such as the spare keys were included, was told everything was included etc. So I purchased the car to be shipped out to DC, after signing and sending in the paperwork I had to call MULTIPLE TIMES to remind them of my existence to actually set up shipping the car. First, was completely lied to about the state of the car. Was told that the only damage was some curb rash on the wheels. Car showed up here and the whole underside of the vehicle was torn up as in it looked like someone stuck a crowbar in the ground and they drove over it a few times The front bumper and both rockers were scraped to xxxx and there was multiple decent sized scratches on the front bumper as well. All of which were not shown in pictures that I would get from Carlos. Took the car in for the standard inspection to a shop we’ve been friends with for years and found out I was lied to about the state of the brakes. That the back brakes need to pretty much be replaced right then and the front ones not far behind. Carlos has sent me images of the car’s dash displaying when the next brake change was needed, showing that they were pretty new which wasn’t the case at all. If this is a BMW dealership how do you not perform a full inspection of the car? The information that was given to me for any question I asked was either a lie or just an assumption out of pure ignorance that was completely false. Car also showed up for delivery and came without the spare keys and without floor mats. In the end I called Schomp and spoke with Robert Ashby, listed out the issues and he had actually agreed to send me a check to help with some of the front bumper damages and a spare key. I did receive a check which I would say was a bright side of dealing with them, never saw the spare key. Tried to contact him again about obtaining one since was originally told it was included and since he had said on the phone he would have one sent out. Got a reply asking if I got it in writing and has since been ignored. No I didn't happen to get our phone conversation in writing. In the end I love the car; got new floor mats, replaced the brakes, looking in to fixing the damages done, in some time everything will be fixed. But in terms of dealing with this dealership it was high stress and the people I dealt with would lie to your face about anything asked. I don't think they even know what customer service even means. They could offer me my dream car for free and I wouldn’t take it if I had to deal with them. Side Note: the shipping company they used and the Driver were great and arrived much faster than the original estimate! More

I delt with Chris Frydrychowski which was helpful and got me all the info the first part of week but then was turned over to Patrick Quinlan on Friday due to Chris being out on vacation starting Friday throughout the week and came to an agreement on pricing including tradein just no paperwork completed until we would arrive from Texas to finalize. Then I secured financing through my local credit union and the dealership "Patrick Quinlan" actually spoke with my credit on Friday and dealership said it was a go but since my credit union would not be open on the day off arrival which would be on Sat afternoon that they would send us with dealer tags and then mail us the buyers tags the next week when they received the transaction from my credit union. Low and behold we drive 7 hrs in rain and snow the whole way to pick up our new vehicle and they tell us that they will not allow us to use our credit union that they had already spoken to for financing because they were closed on that day. They said that the only way they would release the vehicle to us was if we financed through them this was from the Salesman, the Finance Manager and the Sales Manager and that the our credit union could take car of paying off the loan the next week from whoever the dealer was going to make us finance through just so they could make more money by securing the loan in house. I even had the letter of approval from my credit union stating that they would send the routing info on Monday when they received the paperwork from the dealer. Neadless to say we did not and will not do business with such an unprofessional Dealership that could of told us they would not do it before driving there. We would of purchased from them had they been honest and upfront and just ask us to come on Monday when they could immediately get the funding from our credit union. We did go down the road to another dealership which was more than willing to work with us . More
