I made an appointment for a Saturday and expected to wait a couple hours for the service to be completed. I was quite surprised because they got me in right away and the service took exactly one hour. John Hendrickson was the associate who assisted me and he was amazing. He provided me with a time quote of a little over an hour and exceeded my expectations by getting me out of there in less than that. I will definitely be back. Thank you! More

Always pleased I bought my first Saab at Schmelz Countryside in 2004 and my second in 2009, and had them serviced by Schmelz all these years. I have always been happy with the service and with the people I dealt with. Last year Shevawn took good care of me when the car had to stay in the shop a few days longer than expected. This time I was assisted by Cesar, who not only gave me advice on when to get new tires but also gave me a raincheck on a car wash. Coming to Schmelz has always been a pleasant experience. More
Tire Replacement - done quickly. I have been taking my VW Rabbit to Schmelz since I purchased it in 2007. In the past I have chosen not to go back to dealerships for work, but in the case of Schmelz, I can honestly say, I always feel that working with Shevawn Berg as my service advisor I get honest feedback, honest work, and don't feel she is ever trying to overcharge me. All of this matters to me. In this recent case, I got a flat on Sunday, and saw that my tire wasn't repairable. I contacted Shevawn and was able to get my new tire put on Monday morning. I know is I could go other places for tires. However, I also know that in all my years dealing with Schmelz, likely because it is a family owned business, in my experience, they always stand behind their products and their work. More

I contacted Patric, and he went through the trouble of calling Sirius for me to get that information (there is no auto-renew). Thank you Patric! More
Worst car buying experience ever. Don't buy a car from this place. I was given a price on a brand new car that was about $800 over my budget. The salesperson had been working to earn my business for a long time so I told them if they reduced the price by $400 we had a deal. I have confirmation in writing to our agreement. I go in to pick up my new car, Jonathan Schmelz gets me in the finance office and says he never agreed to the $400 additional discount. They made a mistake on their end then rather then making it right tried to strong arm me into just taking the deal anyway. I refused. An hour and a half later Mr. Schmelz reluctantly reduced the price by $200, made the salesperson pay $200 (or so I was told), then charged me a higher interest rate than I was approved and initially signed for to make up for it. I finally caved and signed the papers to get it over with. I've bought a lot of new cars in my life and I've never seen anything like this before. A customer spending thousands on a brand new car and hassling and them over $400??, really? Turned what should have been a happy and fun experience into the worst car buying experience ever. Again, over $400. I don't know how Mr. Schmelz can even look at himself in the mirror. Don't trust him, he is as crooked as they come. P.S. After I got home I noticed the damage on my new car that you tried to cover up and failed to disclose. You win again! More

He contacted me twice by phone to get my approval for work and then let me know when it was finished. In addition, he pointed out that I could use a new rear windshield wiper and, with my consent, did that, too. More
