Finally...treated like a human! Great customer service. I had to replace my 2000 Ford Focus unexpectedly and started car shopping a few days ago. It was a demoralizing experience. I walked out of four different dealers after they tried to aggressively upsell me, wouldn't honor a guaranteed price I'd been given (for that dealer, for that car) through USAA's Car Buying Program, etc. It was a nightmare. I tried using USAA's program one more time, and Schlossman/Subaru City came up, offering a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta at what I felt was a decent price. But I still went in completely expecting another bait-and-switch. I was wrong. Wow. My Schlossman/Subaru City experience was like nowhere else. The online sales manager Mike Pryor greeted me courteously and introduced me to Ed Wrathall, who was terrific. Ed never tried to push me into anything, answered all my questions and was genuinely personable. The car itself was in great condition, especially for the price, and after the test drive I decided to purchase. Even that process was painless. They said "well, of course we'll honor the price you were given, but let's see if we can beat it" and, in the end, gave me an additional $100 off. I had good financing lined up but they asked if I was interested in them beating that, too, so I said sure, go ahead and try — and they did, getting the answer to me in about 10 minutes even though it was 9 pm (and technically after closing for them). I explained to Ed that I would be driving my ailing Focus home that night because it was being picked up for donation the following day, and that I'd take a bus back to the dealer in the morning, he said "no one buys a car from me and takes the bus to get it." So he drove more than ten miles out of his way the next morning to pick me up at my house. That was his attitude the whole time: I was his customer, not someone to con for a couple extra bucks. I felt like he actually wanted me to buy the right car for me at a fair price. Even the other salespeople at Subaru City were different than those at other dealers, who had circled like sharks, looking at me out of the corner of their eyes. Here, whenever Ed left me to put plates on my car or photocopy my license or whatever, the other salespeople cracked jokes with me, asked if I needed anything (and in a genuine way), etc. I could not be happier with my car, or with my experience at Subaru City as Ed's customer. I hope he never retires, because I want to buy another car from him in 12-15 years. More

I had a great experience with Subaru City of Milw. He also didn't make me feel pressured or make me feel like an "uneducated woman" looking at a car. I loved the vehicle, however at the time I wasn't 100% ready to get rid of the Acura Integra I owned due to the gas mileage I got with it. Finally this year I decided it was time to take the plunge and buy a new vehicle. I ended up working with Fiz again when I went back to the dealership, as he was a great help the last time I had been there. He even remembered me and my fiance which surprised us both(may have been because partially because he had purchased a Forester from them 2 years prior). He jumped through hoops for me this time with my purchase. I had a deadline I needed to get the vehicle by due to a Black Friday loan special I received that I needed to close on by a specific date. The dealership didn't have the exact 2014 CrossTrek I was looking for in their lot, so he contacted another dealership out of Illinois to see if they could send it over to them. Thankfully they were able to get the vehicle for me, with the exact add ons I wanted as well. When it came time to go in to pick it up and get all the paperwork taken care, everything was quick and well explained. When the vehicle was delivered to Subaru City from the other dealership it didn't happen to have the users manual in it and was also low on gas. Fiz literally was running through the dealership parking lot to get me a users manual from another vehicle, and then we drove across the street to get my gas tank filled, and he hurried for me as well over there. He knew I was on a deadline to get to work, so he made the extra effort to get me out of there as quick as can be. Would definitely recommend working with him if you go to the Milwaukee location! Absolutely love my new Subaru CrossTrek and would deffinitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking into a new or used vehicle. More

I had owned my previous car, Subaru Impreza Outback for 12 years. I loved the vehicle & hated to part with it. But it was time to move on. I dreaded the whole "buy a car experience". I looked on line at numerous dealership's for used Subaru's. I was looking for an older model with low mileage. When I called another dealership about another "low mileage vehicle listed in the on-line ad" that vehicle was no longer available, but was told to come in anyway. Well, that car was still in the ad several weeks later. (False advertising as far as I was concerned.) I found another Low mileage used 2008 Legacy at Milwaukee's Subaru City. Felicia Owen assisted me with the test drive & imminent sale. I have nothing but good to say about her and the people I dealt with at Subaru City. I went in expecting the "dreaded car experience" and left feeling happy & satisfied. Felicia went out of her way to get me touch up paint & sent me an extra set of keys she found after the sale. She kept in touch to make sure all was going smoothly & helped with some tech questions I had. I would highly recommend Felicia & the whole Subaru City team. Thanks for making my "car experience" enjoyable. More

I could carry on and on but will try to be brief. This wasn't our first experience with the dealership and we were Baaack! In the past we dealt with Jeanie xxxxxx, who has retired. This time Our daughter who is finishing off her Masters program in multiple Education disciplines, was in need of a car as her 95 ford died. Ed and the folks at Subaru City put her in a 2011 Legacy, Helped her get her first ever loan (other than student loans) and made it possible for her to sign all the papers, put the plates on the car and drive it home tonight, so she could go to work. Yes she has three jobs, Yes she goes to school full time. And yes they made her first time car purchase a fantastic purchase. As Parents, my wife and I couldn't be happier. When Ed handed our daughter the keys and saw the smile on her face, it was obvious why he does this,,, his smile was bigger than hers. Yes we will be back, and so will our daughter who was a first time buyer. There is a LOT to be said about having a relationship with Dealership, and as for Subarus, the cars reputation speak for themselves. We went looking for a vehicle after I had a little incident not being able to fit all my shopping goods in my trunk!!!! Let's put it this way, I needed something Mom/shopping worthy!!!!! Ed met us out on the lot and quickly we were on the same page as to what I needed... A small SUV would do the trick!!! Just so happened... It was my lucky day!!!! I got everything I wanted in a vehicle and more.... I went home one happy mama!!!! I got my vehicle and GREAT service throughout the whole deal!!!! I will always come back to Subaru City!!!!! I needed alot of work done on my car that my local mechanic quoted me way too much on, and way too much time to do the repairs. I called this dealership and they quoted me prices and repair time far c mechanic quoted me way too much on, and way too much time to do the repairs. I called this dealership and they quoted me prices and repair time far cheaper and faster than anywhere I had looked so far. For the price of doing a timing belt and one upper control arm bushing at my local dealership, I was able to get a timing belt, serpentine belt, two upper control arm bushing, and a new control arm, done in less time than my local dealership would have done just the timing belt and upper control arm bushing. The staff there is very friendly and professional. They are extremely knowledgeable in the service shop and informed me of recalls on my car that KIA failed to notify me of. They also kept me up to date on the status of my repairs, other things that would need to be done to my car in the future, and important things that needed attention right away. The shop also did a great job of working within my budget to get the things fixed that I needed!. Granted there is only so much flexibility when it comes to car repairs, but being able to get the job done quickly, and professionally helps keep the labor charges down and more money in your pocket! And here you can get that with their ability to get jobs done quickly and correctly. They were able to get my car into their shop within a day and a half, which i would have had to wait over two weeks for my local dealership. Also got me in faster than the KIA dealership did to fix the recall that the SUBARU shop informed me of. (which i have to wait two weeks again for). I wish they could do RECALL repairs for other dealerships as well because I would love to keep my business with this shop! Overall, no complaints Only praise! A+ More

Ed is the best.. My son totaled his car and Ed found the 2010 Honda Civic that he felt was the best value for my son. He even drove the car to our house on a Saturday morning just so my son would have it . How many people would do that?? Ed is very personable, very outgoing and tells it like it is. This review is to let people know what an excellent salesperson Fiz Hidri is. From reading the other reviews on this site, it appears Fiz is not the only stellar sales rep at Subaru City. Fiz was ref salesperson Fiz Hidri is. From reading the other reviews on this site, it appears Fiz is not the only stellar sales rep at Subaru City. Fiz was referred to us by my Sister in Law who described him as "the best car salesperson she's ever met" and someone who she considers a friend beyond car business (they still see eachother when she takes her car in for service). Fiz spent a huge amount of time and attention educating me about the Forester and purchase/lease options on the phone (because I live far from this dealership). I’ve never met a car salesman even close to as good, knowledgeable, helpful, honest and thorough as Fiz. I’m very happy my Sister in Law referred him to us and I now consider Fiz to be “our Subaru Guy”. Even the receptionist at Subaru City is professional and helpful. This is very different from our experiences at other Dealerships. It appears this is simply a different kind of car dealership with a great philosopy of following "the golden rule" - and treating customers like friends rather than conquests. Subaru City is owned by Schlossman's Auto group - and while Fiz stands apart in all ways as a salesman, I think you'll find the other Schlossman Dealerships (i.e. Honda City) to also be much better than average. This caliber of service is worth the extra drive. While we are currently waiting for our current lease to finish up - our plan is to purchase or lease one of the new 2014 Subaru Foresters when they become available in the next month or two. Again, I cannot speak highly enough about Fiz Hidri. Give him a call and you will understand why I took the time to write this review. - MM More
