We were able to get everything we needed within our budget!! They worked very hard to close the sale and we did originally leave to explore one more option with Hobbes Honda but they couldn’t come close to the value we were getting here! So we came back right away to close the sale!! We couldn’t be happier!! The staff was soo nice and friendly! We will have no problem returning if we are ever in the market for another car! More

Wrong Part Customer service was great. Eric was very personable and accommodating. However, a part had to be ordered and from what I understand, the wrong part Customer service was great. Eric was very personable and accommodating. However, a part had to be ordered and from what I understand, the wrong part was delivered. So now will be over a week to get my car fixed. While Eric was good, lately call backs for completed or upcoming service has not been done. Found out by making calls to the service center on status of pars and completed service on other jobs. Very frustrating Thanks. Rory More
Dissappointed with Subaru add-ons Came in for the Forester's first oil change. Decided to look for items to add-on to the car. It was my mistake for assuming netting would be included Came in for the Forester's first oil change. Decided to look for items to add-on to the car. It was my mistake for assuming netting would be included buying the car new. With my past Ford Taurus and Toyota Matrix, both cars came with netting for the storage area in back of car. Something as simple as a net to hold groceries from sliding all over the back I thought would be standard equipment. So I decided to purchase the approximately $65 worth of netting and then found out the total bill with labor would come to over $150 for a couple of nets - I think that is unreasonable. Another item that was my fault - I test drove the Forester that had the rearview mirror with the compass in it. I again assumed that was the model I was buying - my fault for the assumption. To buy the part and have it installed was again unreasonable to me. I will look around for other options to solve these issues. Oil change service I had no problem with. More

Tried 4 dealerships and these guys stood out Let me put it this way: I had to drive 130 miles each way to get the value on the trade in that was fair and a price on a new one that was right. Nap Let me put it this way: I had to drive 130 miles each way to get the value on the trade in that was fair and a price on a new one that was right. Naperville IL, Merrillville IN and Portage IN were WAY off on trade in value on 2 separate occasions. Not hundreds but thousands. And when addressing it they became unprofessional. Adddressing your cusomer as "dude" and so forth. All 3 were bad, Naperville by far the worst trying to price gouge and screw me on trade in. Not so much the Milwaukee shop. They gave me the price that they posted on their website (use their link), and they honored it. The price was right. From the moment I enquired, Liz Edmondson was one the ball. Giving me prices and respsonses in minutes. Just very comforting compared to the other dealerships. When I arrived Ed Wrathall, actually knowledgeable on the cars' engine and electronics (shame on Portage Castle Subaru for making up features and functionality that didnt exist in the Forester, the other dealerships also had clueless 5 yr olds or lost souls trying to sell cars). Long story short: I got a decent trade in value, a sizable discount on a new Touring Outback 2.5i (2000$ then the other folks), a unlimited powertrain (only Naperville offered that too but they were horrible people) and a 96 month bumper to bumber for less than $2000 (Castle portage charged 1000$ more for a Impreza version). Coating for another 700$ (others were 300 to 400 higher). That's very reasonable. So in all, we got the car we wanted, were treated as human beings (sometimes people think they can talk down to me based on my racial make up) and would recommend these folks. Worth the drive. The other dealerships... HORRIBLE. And I was not paid to say any of this. More
Extended time to complete work I'm normally completely happy with Subaru City. I intend to go back. However, my last appointment took approximately 6 hours to complete. I was in I'm normally completely happy with Subaru City. I intend to go back. However, my last appointment took approximately 6 hours to complete. I was in the waiting room the entire time. I was originally told my service would take approximately 2 hours so I brought a book with me. Approximately an hour into the service time a technician told me that I should repair my rear brakes. I agreed and was told it would just take a little longer, so again, I said I'd wait for my car rather than take their shuttle which would have been approximately an hour drive. I'd arrived at 10:15 AM but didn't leave the dealership until closer to 4:30 pm. Had I been told that 'a little longer' meant several hours, I would've taken them up on the shuttle. The dealership did make an offer to make it up to me financially. As I said, I like Subaru City and will go back. It's just that my last visit was a bit annoying. More
