These people have serviced my Pontiac for fours years since date of purchase and have always been most fair and accommodating. Service has been promt and done right the first time. Sales people, ie. George and associates, have always taken time to make my visit pleasant while I waited and have worked up numbers on trade in/new pruchase even when likelihood of sale at the time of visit was not great. Recent visit (Jan. 25) was an all around good experience. I would recommend these folks and would consider buying my next car here even though it is something of a trip to this dealer. More
In managing the Customer Experience for a Fortune 10 Company, I can say that Scott Emory at Jim Salerno Buick/GMC provided us with the most Extraordinary car purchasing experience my wife and I had ever Company, I can say that Scott Emory at Jim Salerno Buick/GMC provided us with the most Extraordinary car purchasing experience my wife and I had ever had the pleasure of being treated to. We arrived at the used car side of the dealership to see a GMC Acadia which turned out was actually sold by a new car salesman earlier that day. Despite the internal communication issue regarding the status of the car, Scott and his sales manager proceeded to to find us another Acadia with almost the exact same specifications we were looking for (and it was my wife's first color choice as a bonus) within a week of our initial visit. After purchase and in dealing with the finance and service to take care of some minor cosmetic and replacement type issues - Scott Emory clearly went above and beyond to make sure that all of our needs were taken care of, all of our issues were resolved to our satisfaction and made sure everything was clearly and completely explained to my wife every time she was at the dealership. I would definitely recommend Scott Emory to anyone that is in the market for a GMC Acadia or anything that's on their used car lot (or even if it isn't, maybe they'll find it for you!). We were completely satisfied with Scott's service and with many choices available to potential consumers out there, Scott is a one in a million type person that will genuinely work for you to make sure all your expectations are exceeded. George did not try to change our mind about the vehicle we wanted, but rather searched to accomodate us. When the car arrived, we received a phone call to ask us to come in & see if the car met with our approval, without any pressure. Jonathan handled the transaction efficiently & in a timely manner. We did not have to call out insurance company, it was all handled by Jonathan. Another good experience. More
In my 14 years driving, I have owned/purchased 9 vehicles. Each and every auto purchase process was more grueling and uncomfortable than the last. That was until I stepped into the Jim Salerno Bui vehicles. Each and every auto purchase process was more grueling and uncomfortable than the last. That was until I stepped into the Jim Salerno Buick/GMC dealership showroom two weeks ago. From the start, you could tell that your business was appreciated, and not needed! I pursued a quote for a vehicle online, and numerous dealerships were calling/emailing within the hour. The difference between Jim Salerno and all of the others was the one personal phone call that day with a follow up call the next day by Lenny, the Internet Sales Manager on sight; not 20 phone calls and 20 emails pursuing my business like I was nothing but a sales lead to them (I actually had to shut my phone off at one point, as the phone calls from the other dealerships become unmanageable)! I wasn't jumped on and hounded from the second I walked in the door; rather, George Gregory, Sales Associate at Jim Salerno, acknowledged my presence and made himself available for any questions/concerns I may have. I was made to feel that my business was going to be valued for a lifetime by this "family", and I didn't see the dollar signs rolling around in George's eyes. I was in a position where I knew what I wanted in a vehicle, and George was determined to get me into that exact vehicle that made sense for me (not one that made more financial sense for them)! After a very comfortable, laid back conversation, we went for a test drive where many of the unique features of the vehicle were pointed out to me, focusing on the accessories that I would value as a family man (space, safety, warranty, etc), not pushing all of the nonsense that he knew did not interest me in the least. Finally, we get to the business end of the deal. We discussed all details regarding terms, monetary compensation for trade-in, etc; George knew what I could/couldn't do, and he made sure it was viable before dealing with the Finance Manager. This was a big change from my prior experiences, where I would lay out my financial goals/limits, and the sales associate would return with a monthly payment far outside of what was previously discussed. I was never made to feel insignificant or unimportant, and I knew talking with George that I was getting the best deal possible (he even went through every possible incentive to ensure I was receiving every dollar off sticker that was available to me). The transaction was finally completed with Jonathan Weiner, Business Manager on sight at Jim Salerno. We filled out all necessary paperwork; yet more important, we talked family and holidays, the things that make you feel appreciated besides wanting your money. Again, as a second pair of eyes, Jonathan reviewed all possible incentives to ensure I was getting the best price possible on this vehicle. Before leaving the lot with my vehicle, George walked me to my vehicle and reviewed every single button/option that I would be using in the near future (a great service for someone strapped for time that might not be able to scale the owners manual cover to cover right away). George was not satisfied until he knew I was 100% satisfied with my recent purchase, regardless of whether the paperwork was already signed. I can say with honesty that this was the most pleasant car buying experience I have had to date (and as I stated, I have had many). I will be sure to point all family and friends with car buying intentions directly to the Jim Salerno family, as I know feel part of this family as well. I hope to complete many more transactions with these guys in the future. Thanks guys, job well done! More

I purchased a new GMC Yukon XL from George Gregory at Salerno GMC. He knew his product and was very informative without a shred of pushiness. I was not ready at that time to purchase but within 2 months I was. We kept in touch and he informed me of the various incentives. When we finalized the numbers, I spent time speaking with Jim Bourdon, who also was great to deal with. We agreed on a deal which involved a trade in and both pieces of this deal were very fair to both of us. Delivery day went smoothly with George carefully going over every function and control of the car. I should add that Vinnie from service patiently answered several questions I had and I know he will take good care of me when this needs service. This was a very pleasant experience and I look forward to dealing with the great people at Salerno again. My parents purchased cars from them and there is a reason why they have been in business for so long. They treat people fairly and respectfully. I encourage anyone reading this wordy review to buy from them with confidence. More
