The service staff have been professional and effective, but that does little to obscure the dealership's overall abusive profiteering. Nearly the entire industry responded to the pandemic with near-piracy, but that does little to obscure the dealership's overall abusive profiteering. Nearly the entire industry responded to the pandemic with near-piracy, e.g. market adjustments far above MSRP. That behavior represents a fundamental breach of faith with the American car buyer. I will not forget their abuse and greed. Adding insult to injury, nearly 11 months after the purchase of my truck, some missing computer chips remain uninstalled, though coming soon. Fact is, dealerships really are no longer necessary. Tesla proved the model. The industry can eliminate most of that infrastructure and the accompanying mark up, and just keep the service centers. I won't feel bad seeing the dealers go, given their behavior these last two years. Craven, indeed, to use a national health crisis to fleece your customers. More
