Questionable service department - get a second opinion Took my 2003 Monte Carlo in for service because the exhaust system was making a loud rumbling noise that I would have enjoyed more 30 years ago.. Serv Took my 2003 Monte Carlo in for service because the exhaust system was making a loud rumbling noise that I would have enjoyed more 30 years ago.. Service rep. took the car in and had it checked. they first came out telling me my rear tires were out of alignment, then came back and informed me that the exhaust system was ready to fall apart along with a list of other issues they felt need to be addressed. I was aware of these since the car has 98K miles on it.. When I said all I wanted was to know what it was going to take to get he exhaust repaired the rep said they would ask but the alignment might have to bee done if its related to the exhaust system noise. So while I waited for them to return the I somehow just couldn't understand the reliance .between the rear tire alignment and the exhaust system making noise. Maybe it was because I'm over 60 or that I had Chicago Blackhawk vanity plates on the car that I was being treated this way. When they returned with the totals I just paid the $100 diagnostic fee and left. . I then went to another auto and was taken under the vehicle and shown that the exhaust system noise was due to the seam of the muffler had rusted through. Really, I could have called but I already know the lines they're trained to use. to hang onto the $100 but that would have been a futile effort. More
Communications glitch 5/4/15 I called to talk to a specific service consultant. I dialed (623)931-9399 for service. Two times I called consecutively and was hung up upon immediate pickup of the phone line w/o a word. I then called (623)931-9331 for the receptionist. I told her of the hang ups and she apologized, then transferred my call to some woman in the service dept. I told her of the hang ups and she said that the number ending 9399 is a typo and the correct number is 931-9331. She advised me that the consultant is out to lunch. I declined her offer to transfer the call to the consultants voice mail. I waited 30+ mins (after 1pm) and Chris in the service dept answered on the 9399 number. How about that? I took his offer to transfer me to my consultant of choice and was sent to a voice box system that said I was to enter a box number. What does this mean? Do I have his box number? No. If I did, would I have gotten to retrieve his messages or only allowed to leave one?. Summary: 1) If the receptionist fails to report the hanging up issue to a responsible person, then that's a failure of future service. 2) All people that answer a phone in the service department should know and if asked, should be able to provide the departments phone number. 3) Everyone should know how to transfer a call correctly. Really makes me wonder if such untrained personnel extend from the service representatives to the technicians receiving the orders. More

I bought a used 2012 Impala in 09/2014, 42078 miles, had part of the original warranty and I bought an extended warranty from Sands Chevrolet in Glend I bought a used 2012 Impala in 09/2014, 42078 miles, had part of the original warranty and I bought an extended warranty from Sands Chevrolet in Glendale Arizona. Within a week, the blend door (actuator) started clattering and they 'fixed it'. First of all, they brought my car back to me in less than an hour so I know they didn't 'fix it'; it takes longer than that to correctly repair a malfunctioning blend door, so I knew they only put some kind of band-aid on it, or unstuck it. Six months later, the blend door is clattering again. Every time I call Sands for service, all they can tell me is that it is not covered under warranty. I was thinking I should sue them for a refund of the extended warranty cost. Also, the salesman said he put brand new tires on the car before they sold it to me; they installed Goodyear Eagle LS2's. Yesterday, with 3921 miles on the tires, one blew up. NOT road hazard, just a defective tire, and it blew a hole in the inside wall, approx 2" x 5", and just completely tore the inside wall of the tire about 1/3 of the entire circumference. I called Sands, and the service technician called me back and said they could not fix my tire for me. I sent an email to Service Manger Derek Haddad and he immediately telephoned me, stating the service tech's statement was an unintended error, to bring my car to Sands Chevrolet as soon as I could and he would 'make it right' (I know - that's still a grey area for car dealers, right? a little too open ended? - lol) So, I did that, and guess what? Sands replaced the tire, inspected the remaining tires, and found conditions they felt were unsafe, and replaced three of my tires - no charge to me. And the blend door? Believe it or not, they told me that nowhere in the original warranty nor in my very expensive extended warranty was any part of the A/C system covered, (WHAT!!??), but... guess what again?? Sands Chevrolet repaired the blend door for me free of charge. And with that, a few little peripheral electrical parts that were also (by association to that system) malfunctioning and are now functioning properly as well. But all in all I have to say that Sands Chevrolet, my salesman Aurelio Gonzalez, Service Manager Derek Haddad, Service Consultant Michael Jajou, and I'll throw Garrett Arford in there too because he is always ready to lend a helping hand and he's the happiest guy in the world, Sands Chevrolet of Glendale Arizona has made me so happy I could cry!!! I highly recommend sales and service at Sands Chevrolet. More

Disatified customer I took my truck to get fixed a month ago, they charged me for the work they did. Supposedly the problem was fixed, took it home and the following week I had to take it back to them because it was doing the same thing. They supposedly fixed the problem again at that time did not charge me, took my truck home and 3 weeks after have to bring my truck back for the same reason, and now they want to charge me more money. Because you are now saying it's a different part but then still doing the same thing for what I had taken it in the first time? That is wrong, bad customer service by charging the client again for what had supposedly been taken care of in the first place. More

Horrible service after sale and bad install I have been trying to get my leather seat repaired that was damaged upon delivery for the last 6 months. The service department won't call back whe I have been trying to get my leather seat repaired that was damaged upon delivery for the last 6 months. The service department won't call back when you leave messages and when you do get ahold of them they say they need to look into it but still never call back. To top it off the bedliner that they installed was not installed properly and has gaps all around the perimeter and a hole in the bottom. Want that fixed to if they ever call me back. Totally unacceptable!! More
