Found issues we weren't aware of We were just getting ready for a long trip and needed to get transmission work done. Anger turns to appriciation When I took my new diesel van in for service because it would not run faster than 45 mph I was livid and ready to sue. This brand new Duramax diesel t When I took my new diesel van in for service because it would not run faster than 45 mph I was livid and ready to sue. This brand new Duramax diesel that requires an additive to clean the fuel system exhaust or something. It kept cycling. My employee was driving on the freeway and pulled off at a rest stop and called me and refused to drive it further. The speed limit on this freeway is 75 mph and those big trucks coming up behind scared the heck out of him. I took over to try and get it back to town. He was right, those big trucks almost blew us off the road. I called the dealer, my sales person Jon Shoop and he said bring it right in. When I got to the dealer my guns were loaded so to speak. I met with Mr Shoop and he said lets concentrate on the issue and get what ever is wrong corrected and go from there. He talked to the service manager and though they were very busy, Scott said he would do all he could to get it in there that day and see what the issue was. Scott called me a few hours later and said they found the problem and corrected it. He tried to explain to me what it was but I don't understand these things enough to understand. To be honest I didn't really care as long as it was fixed, and I could get it back on the road making money. Jon Shoop the salesman and the service department went way above and beyond their requirements to rectify a bad situation. They were very professional and courteous during the entire procedure. Thank you for that. I am not easy to get along with when I feel I have been wronged. I have found in life things happen. It is not so much things that happened, but how they are handled when they do. Sands has it figured out. More
