Part 2: Fender repair from 08/19 to 10/4 still wasn't done correctly, yet company reps Sean, Lee, and Robert kept insisting I needed to be more patient and flexible. After an initial failed attempt to done correctly, yet company reps Sean, Lee, and Robert kept insisting I needed to be more patient and flexible. After an initial failed attempt to repair my vehicle at Sands Collision in surprise, Sean from Glendale Sands Collision promised to make things right, personally verify the repairs, and ensure everything was completed properly. I hesitantly agreed to pick up the car from Glendale. I provided my availability, but Sean called when I was unavailable, and my husband tried to follow up. Ethan informed us more work was needed, and the car was returned for repairs for the third time. Sean later insisted the car was ready and we had to pick it up immediately, as the rental coverage would end. On 10/3, after calling ahead, I arrived to find my car in terrible condition—overspray on the insulation, paint drops on the hood, and paint bubbles. Robert, the technician, denied touching the hood, despite clear evidence. He dismissed my concerns, calling it a "quick fix." I asked them to take their time and do the job right. Robert requested more time, and later that day, I was called again for pickup—this was now the fourth attempt. When I arrived, I immediately noticed scuffs and paint issues that were clearly visible. When I asked for a supervisor, Robert refused and shouted at me not to walk away. Inside, I spoke with Sean again, who had promised everything would be done correctly. Yet, here I was with unresolved issues. Lee, another manager, offered the same empty promises to "make it right" and asked for more time. Despite their refusal to extend my rental, I waited while they tried to fix it—this happened three more times. Cooperate, please explain "realistic" to me. My insurance paid for quality repairs, and I’m expected to cover the deductible—shouldn't the job be done correctly? No dents, no overspray, no paint bubbles, etc.? In the end, Sean called me out again. I asked for my keys, but after returning home, I still found the same issues—paint bubbles, overspray on the light, and minor errors. Do not go to Sands Collision unless you're prepared to be disappointed and waste your time. More

This is my second attempt at writing an honest review of my experience at this service department. My first review resulted in a 6 pm screaming match phone call with the service department manager, Derrick. my experience at this service department. My first review resulted in a 6 pm screaming match phone call with the service department manager, Derrick. He offered a new battery, but I declined because I was really worried about a confrontation if I came back. I called at 8 am on Monday morning to get a quote on having the spark plugs and wires replaced on a 2011 SS Camaro with 80k miles because it's due and on my list of things to have done. I also mentioned it was having a slight hard start, so I assumed it would be the plugs or battery. This was my own process of elimination while addressing the plug maintenance. Derrick Phillips advised me not to "just throw a set of plugs in it" and instead let him diagnose it. I immediately felt this was a sales tactic to get a diagnosis fee, but he never once mentioned it. He also advised me to drop the car off and get a complimentary Lyft ride home as the wait would be about 3 hours. However, I also assumed this was a sales tactic to keep my vehicle overnight and perform unnecessary expensive repairs when I simply wanted a quote for the spark plugs and wire replacement. I declined the ride and waited for 5 hours right up until closing just to get an estimate for $11,408.91 of other things he suggested I replace, or have the battery replaced for $570.02 to resolve the minor start issue I was attempting to take care of. I declined everything as I felt my request was ignored. Instead of just quoting me for the plugs, I got a quote for nearly $12,000 in recommended repairs that didn't even include my original maintenance request. On top of this, the price of replacing the battery was so grossly overpriced that I no longer felt like I could trust anything he said. I was pretty mad about the whole experience and just paid the $207 diagnosis fee and left a 1-star review, only to have Derrick, the manager, call me and turn the conversation into a screaming match until I agreed to remove the review and come get a new battery the next day. I avoid auto repair places because of the negative connotation of being taken advantage of. I chose to take my car here based on an experience I had with Jerry Moore, Sands co-owner, years ago, but it turned into the worst auto repair experience I've ever had. More
