I had a great experience with Sands Chevrolet. I went in with a trade that I was upside down in. I honestly did not think that they would be able to help me, Somehow these guys worked their magic and got me with a trade that I was upside down in. Yesterday (July 6th, 2011) My wife and I set forth to purchase a car. Our list of 5 possible vehicles included a Dodge Charger. We found one advertised at Sands Chevrolet Glendale for $7277 the year, the purchase a car. Our list of 5 possible vehicles included a Dodge Charger. We found one advertised at Sands Chevrolet Glendale for $7277 the year, the price, the color, and the mileage was all what we were looking for the only item in question was the 2.7L engine. We had not yet driven one with this size engine. I had printed the ad and called to verify it was still available when Jim Sommer took my number and said he thought he saw it in the shop but would verify if it was ready and call me back. Moments later I called back to verify the address when another salesman asked what car I was looking for and told me he had a great deal on a Chevrolet Cobalt, and told me how to find them. Eighteen minutes later Jim called and said “Yes, we have that car and it is ready to sell.” Approximately 6 minutes later we arrived, met Jim and he asked if we had ever seen the Chevrolet Cruze with great gas mileage. We responded with no but we want to see the Charger. He proceeded to show us the Charger but informed us we would not be able to test drive it because the battery was dead and they were going to install a new one. We shared that we like the car and would wait for the battery to be installed. He brought us back into the office to wait while the battery was installed, or so we thought. He had different ideas. He informed us that for the same amount we could get a 3 year prepaid lease on the Cruze. We looked at the Cruze with him and told him we had a list of only five different cars we were interested in and did not like the Cruze. He then began asking about how much we wanted to spend and I said $9200 but the Charger with tax should be well under that. We went back to his desk and he went into an office and came out after couple minutes and said the Charger price was a mistake it should be 12-something. He then said he had a friend down the street who sold cars and may have one on our list. We shared our list with him and he proceeded to look on some website for cars and mentioned several either out of our price range or not on our list. At this point we were very disappointed and let Jim know we were disappointed and left. About 2 minutes into my 42mile drive back home I called Sands back and asked for the general manager but after several minutes of waiting the receptionist returned to the phone and said he was not available but another manager could call me back. Fifty-six minutes later, about the time I arrived home from this frustrating journey, I spoke to this manager who insisted it was an honest mistake and his only offer to calm my frustration was if I drove back he would give me gas money. Another 84 mile round trip through Phoenix traffic in the summer for a condescending gas money offer, I don’t think so. This morning (July 7th, 2011), the same Charger appeared in an advertisement for Sand Chevrolet at Surprise for $7277. I called the Surprise store and Dawn said “yes, we have it.” I proceeded to share my experience with her when she repeated a different stock # and said oops this one is more. The one you want was sold to the Glendale store. I shared this story with Steve Davis (manager) at the Glendale store and Glen Drodney (general manager) at the Glendale store and the most I received was an oops and sorry. More
We traveled from San Diego to Surprise AZ for a weekend baseball tourney. My Avalanche began to have issues on Friday night soon after our arrival. I called Sands Chevrolet at 9:00 AM on Saturday knowing baseball tourney. My Avalanche began to have issues on Friday night soon after our arrival. I called Sands Chevrolet at 9:00 AM on Saturday knowing they closed at 2 and odds are they'd just tell me that there was no way they could work on it until Monday. I had to return to San Diego on Sunday so there was no way that would work. I'm beginning to realize I may be stuck in AZ for a few more days than expected and have to miss some work next week. Sam in the service department tells me to come in and he'll do everything he can to get my truck fixed that day. He greeted me with a smile, checked my truck in then helped me get the rental car. I couldn't believe it but 4 hours later we had a call letting us know the truck was ready. New fuel pump AND a wash in under 4 hours... and to top it off.... it was warranty work... no charge for the service or the rental car. I'd have to say waking up that morning there is no way I could even hoped for such a great outcome to what could have been a terrible experience. I got a great deal on the vehicle that I purchased. The only problem I had was that my vehicle needed some areas buffed out and I took the vehicle back for that, but when I picked the vehicle up I noticed only problem I had was that my vehicle needed some areas buffed out and I took the vehicle back for that, but when I picked the vehicle up I noticed that my vehicle still looked the same and nothing was done! I was told that they did their best. I was too irritated to even argue. Other than that everything else was fine. More
I was looking online for a new 2011 Camaro and Sands chevy came up under my search. I was contacted by Jason. I went into dealership and starting negotiating process with my salesperson after taking a test drive. Before the negotiations were completed, he asked that I complete an evaluation on him. That was pret with my salesperson after taking a test drive. Before the negotiations were completed, he asked that I complete an evaluation on him. That was pretty awkward because I felt like I had to give him a good evaluation or no deal. I went to finance dept to sign contract and when I returned to my salesperson, he was already working with some new customers, which made me feel like he no longer cared since he made the deal with me. I was pawned off to another salesperson who put on my temporary license plate and thought I was done. I said I still needed my floor mats and another part I was promised. My original salesperson needed to be contacted to get the floor mats and told me he would mail me the other part he promised me. A week and a half later, still no part in the mail and I needed to keep after him with many phone calls to get a schedule made to have my windshield replaced, which he also promised. My last call to my salesperson, he transferred me to the parts person who stated this was the first he heard of me needing a replacement windshield. My salesperson made me feel like he no longer wanted anything to do with me once I signed the contract. Watch out for Larry DeNinis so he does not do this to you too. More

I recently purchased a new Silverado from Sands Chevrolet and the whole prcoess from selecting a vehicle, to my trade-in, to negotiating a price on the new truck was fantastic. This comes after trying to purchase a vehicle with two other dealerships who didn't seem interested in trying to make a deal I was comfortable with, or not near as friendly as the personnel at Sands. I believe I received a fantastic deal and would recommend them greatly. I basically told them what I was willing to pay for the the new truck (quite a bit less than sticker price), and they said OK.
