I went to Safford of Fredericksburg to take a look at both used and new Jeep inventory. I wasn't certain what features or model I wanted. Jerry Silsley approached me with a smile and a handshake and show both used and new Jeep inventory. I wasn't certain what features or model I wanted. Jerry Silsley approached me with a smile and a handshake and showed me what they had on the lot. He was very friendly and laid back and helped me narrow my search to my dream vehicle. I probably test drove over four vehicles, and yet Jerry remained patient and understanding and allowed me time to discover what I really wanted. They were very fair in negotiating a price, and I drove off the lot a happy customer. I would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone looking for friendly service and and a quality car for a fair price. More

I searched Jeep dealers far and wide to find a JKR with the options that I wanted. When I saw that the closest match was in Fredericksburg, 60 miles from my house, I had my doubts...and started considerin the options that I wanted. When I saw that the closest match was in Fredericksburg, 60 miles from my house, I had my doubts...and started considering a custom order closer to home. Just to check, I reached out to Safford and was connected with Ben Clarke via email, which was my preferred means of communication. Over the course of a day, I ended up trading about half a dozen email messages with Ben, in which I kept bombarding him with questions. In each case, he responded promptly and directly. No games. He quoted a price that was somewhat below Affiliate Pricing even after factoring in Safford's rather high processing fee, so not much for me to complain about there. Ben also provided a ballpark estimate for my trade based on the VIN and a picture submitted via email. Thus, my wife and I decided to drive down to see if the final trade price would be fair. Upon arrival, Ben came out immediately to meet us. He agreed to have our trade evaluated for a firm offer and let us take the JKR out by ourselves for an extended test drive while my trade was evaluated. When we came back, the negotiations were very straightforward and transparent. With just bit of nudging, I got to a trade price that seemed very fair based on my research with NADA, KBB, and Edmunds. The paperwork went quickly and each person with whom we dealt at the dealership was friendly and professional...even though we declined financing and all dealer add-ons (e.g., rust proofing, service plans, etc). Definitely a positive experience, which is why there is a new 2013 Rubicon sitting in our garage. Two thumbs up for Ben and the other folks at Safford. More
