I'm a New Yorker living in the DC area who hasn't owned a car in many years much less purchased one, so I was understandably a tad bit apprehensive about this whole process. I rented a zip car, and drove to Safford FIAT of Fredricksburg after work, still in my navy uniform. Dario saw me pull up through the window, came to the door and greeted me with a smile, a salute and a firm handshake. As a USAA affiliated dealership, Safford of Fredicksburg had a beautiful, pre-owned black Ford Mustang for sale and listed on the USAA website that I had my eye on and Dario went out of his way to make sure I felt comfortable about the purchase. When my duty station was changed in the middle of registering the car (twice), Dario said "No problem!" and started the registration process over from the beginning for me (twice). Every concern I have had, every question I could possibly come up with Dario addressed promptly with a high level of professionalism. I would highly recommend both Dario and Safford of Fredicksburg. As I drove off the lot Dario shouted "when it's time, when you have the wife and kiddies and need a family van come back and see us okay?". I don't plan on trading in my Ford Mustang for a family van anytime soon, but if/when the time comes, I will again turn to Dario and Safford of Fredricksburg for if they could this easily transition a car-less New Yorker into a Ford Mustang owner, they could clearly also work the magic that would be needed for that transition as well. My son and I went to look at a Dodge Caravan. Ricky happened to be there to answer our questions and he even took us out for a test drive (at my son' s request.). I went home that evening and told my husband what an amazing salesman we had. Our family went back two more times, and we bought a Town and Country. I cannot speak highly enough of Ricky. He was so patient, knowledgeable, kind, and was truly concerned about what would be a good fit for our family. Throughout the entire process, we had our 6 year old son with us. Ricky was so kind to answer his questions no matter what he asked. This has been the BEST car buying experience we have ever had! Safford of Fredericksburg truly knew what they were doing when they hired Ricky. My husband and I cannot thank him enough for all that he did for us. Amazing!!!!! More
Customer Service was outstanding!!!! Mr. Rader was unlike any other car salesman I have ever dealt with - he was very attentive, kind, understanding, detail oriented, knowledgable and very easy to work with any other car salesman I have ever dealt with - he was very attentive, kind, understanding, detail oriented, knowledgable and very easy to work with - NEVER felt we were being pressured at any time during the buying process and he kept us up to date during every part of the buying process. I had been looking for a red 2013 Dodge Avenger R/T. I live in Prince William County but could not find the model I wanted. I called down to Safford Dodge and was told that you had 2 R/T Red models on th live in Prince William County but could not find the model I wanted. I called down to Safford Dodge and was told that you had 2 R/T Red models on the lot. I set up an appointment for a Sunday at 1:00 pm. I was called the night before to ensure we were still coming to the appointment. I was called the morning of the appointment to ensure we were still coming to the appointment. I was called 5 minutes before the appointment to ensure we were still coming to the appointment. When we got there my wife and I split up; she was going for the test drive and I tried to get an offer for my 2006 Ford F150 XLT 4X4 with 55,000 miles. My wife was walked through the lot looking for a Red Avenger R/T. I stood at the sales manager’s desk for about 15 minutes while she (Joan Bays) complained to her fellow employees that she wasn’t supposed to be working that day. My wife caught my eye over at Troy’s desk. I came over stating that “I thought you were going for a test drive”. Troy stated that he couldn’t find the car that we were told there were two of on the lot. This was a classic; “Get them in the door and we will sell them something” scam. We were lied to! Our time was wasted and the staff had personal issues! This is how it should have transpired: We drive up and the car we were there to test drive should have been sitting in front of the dealership. It should have been filled with fuel and cleaned and buffed. The car should have been cooled and ready to be sold. I walked in with a 30 thousand dollar pre-approved check from my credit union. I was ready to buy that car. However, I was lied to and my time was wasted. I will make a complaint to the BBB and verbally explain the poor service we experienced to all of my fellow workers at the Department of Homeland Security! I will never step foot in your doors again! More
Everyone was very friendly, everyone would say hello and smile. Jacob told me if there were any issues that all I would have to do is let him or someone else know and they would help fix the issue. I love the quick entry, check-in, and service. I come to Safford much more than anywhere else because when I have to be off from work to have service done, Safford can do it much more quickly than other ser Safford much more than anywhere else because when I have to be off from work to have service done, Safford can do it much more quickly than other service centers. The only complaint that I would have is that a couple of times over the years when I have come in for an oil change, I ended up with a small leak that my husband had to fix. More
