Feeling Cheated My husband and I went to Safford of Fredericksburg August 16, 2014. We had Sammy as our sales guy and he was good about getting us the answers we need My husband and I went to Safford of Fredericksburg August 16, 2014. We had Sammy as our sales guy and he was good about getting us the answers we needed. We feel a little cheated as this was our first time doing a trade in and apparently OTD (out the door) with a trade in is different then just buying a car. OTD with Safford on a trade does not include the tax, tag, title, etc. We were expecting to get the equity we had in our car back or to go towards the loan amount, not used for the tags, title, etc. My husband spoke with the manager, Jeff who said he will explain this to everyone trading a car, as they think people already know this. They are also fixing a broken storage box and should have the part soon. Will update on that separately. More

Best of Dealer Service and Discovery of Unknown Problems Jeep wouldn't start; had it towed in. Service (Mr. Brett Barker) handled my case. He had the problem checked and found a wiring problem. He called me Jeep wouldn't start; had it towed in. Service (Mr. Brett Barker) handled my case. He had the problem checked and found a wiring problem. He called me to explain. I decided to have oil change and tune up, etc while I was there. They did that and also found a leaking radiator. Mr. Barker called me and explained that they would have to order the part, etc. They ordered the part and fixed it. Mr. Barker called me when it was ready and everything went as stated. I must say that I have never had a service department more courteous, efficient or as ethica. Mr. Barker deserves a big THANK YOU! More

Service manager, Howard White gave excellent customer servic My wife's 1996 which she loves failed to start after her physical Therapy session. Jeep had never simply refused to start. After waiting a few minutes she was able to get it started. Weary and hot(one of the hot humid days ) she decided to drive it home. We called our trusty Safford service department -it was Thursday- and they explained how they were slammed but if we brought in on Friday they would attempt to have it by Saturday afternoon. My wife was scheduled for more therapy on Monday so getting the car by Monday was very important. Howard took time to listen a description of what the vehicle was doing. He said that they would do everything possible to identify the problem and resolve. Howard called me early evening, the same day, problem identified and just needed my ok to order the part. The part came in Saturday and I got a call "the vehicle is ready". I can't begin to express the professionalism exhibited by Howard and his team. Great service I feel valued as a customer!! More
