For the first time in my life I have no regrets 30 days after buying a new car. My salesman (Troy Garretson) was fantastic. We spoke on the phone prior to my visit and he had every detail ready for my visi after buying a new car. My salesman (Troy Garretson) was fantastic. We spoke on the phone prior to my visit and he had every detail ready for my visit. The cars I wanted to see were fueled up and off to the side so I had no wasted time. Price was better than I expected after conducting weeks of on-line research. Paperwork was a breeze there was no pressure or games. I truly feel good about my purchase. More
I have driven Chevrolets for 25 years until Ben and I came to terms on my new 2011 Dodge Charger. I have never had a car that I loved to drive so much. I feel like a queen in this car. Kind of sporty, came to terms on my new 2011 Dodge Charger. I have never had a car that I loved to drive so much. I feel like a queen in this car. Kind of sporty, kinda royalty, yet grown up and respectable all at the same time. I jokingly refer to this car as my mid-life crisis car. In all seriousness, the quality and workmanship is superb. The service and professionalism of the dealership has been amazing. So amzing in fact that while my new car was at the dealership the first week for the undercoating treatment, my husband traded in his chevrolet pick-up on a Jeep Grand Cherokee...Guess we're both believers now in the Safford Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Fiat Family. It was a real pleasure buying my 20ll Dodge Durango from Safford. The sales staff were friendly and easy to work with. Unlike some dealerships were it's a stressful ordeal when trying to buy a new vehicle Safford. The sales staff were friendly and easy to work with. Unlike some dealerships were it's a stressful ordeal when trying to buy a new vehicle and haggling over price, my experience at Safford was stress free. They were very eager to earn my business and to make sure that I was satified when I left the dealership. This is the first time that I've purchased a vehicle from Safford, but after how this experience went I can definitely see we buying another vehicle there in the future. More
My husband was on a Military mission when one of the government vehicles was in an unfortunate accident. The unit was supplemented with a Dodge Grand Caravan and a Chrysler Town & Country. I recieved a government vehicles was in an unfortunate accident. The unit was supplemented with a Dodge Grand Caravan and a Chrysler Town & Country. I recieved a phone call a few days before his return home to start searching on the internet and build out a van that i would like to test drive to maybe think about purchasing. We by no means were in the market for a new car as we Had a 2008 Toyota Highlander Sport and we were trucking along just fine with that. So he returns home and we go to Safford (a dealership we have trusted for many years as my Husband bought his 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 from this dealership) and they didnt have the Grand Caravan we were looking fro so we decided to check out the Chrysler T& C... and boy was that the best thing ever! (its like home away from home!) he was able to find everything we could ever want and so much more i didnt even know was available. Troy is an amazing person in general. He is very good at connecting with people on a level that most salesman cant even imagine. He was able to make myself, my husband, and our three girls ages 3, 2, 1 very comfortable. He made the application process easy by providing snack and drinks for our girls. He also made the purchasing process very easy... when we came in to pick up the vehicle on August 31, 2011... we were in and out within an hour! (that includes changing over carseats lol!) Joan was also an amazing person... My three year old now has purple fingernails and we are now stocked in purple polish =) she is another amazing person at what she does... im not sure how she did it but we were out the door with a better interest rate than we knew possible and payments that were absolutely amazing.. and you can 210% believe that when we are in the market for a Jeep.. Troy and Joan are the first people we will contact.. and when any of our military friends/familes ask where we got our "awesome space ride" as the girls call it... the first word out of our mouth will be Safford Of Fredericksburg! Thanks again for making this so special! and EASY!!! More
On Friday, 8/12/2011, Safford F'burg helped us locate a 2011 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited at East Tennessee Dodge in Crossville, TN. Safford confirmed with East TN Dodge that the vehicle was still available and 2011 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited at East Tennessee Dodge in Crossville, TN. Safford confirmed with East TN Dodge that the vehicle was still available and that they were willing to do a "dealer exchange." After the usual haggling with Safford, we agreed to purchase the Jeep and submitted a downpayment in the amount of $8000. Safford again contacted East TN Dodge and advised them the vehicle was sold. Safford advised they would overnight a check for payment of the Jeep and arrange to immediately pick it up for transport to Virginia. On Saturday, 8/13/2011, we went back to Safford to tidy up some paperwork. Upon arrival, the sales staff advised us that they had just received a call from East TN Dodge who advised the Jeep had been WRECKED that morning by one of their employees! Safford took the information at face value and the two dealerships agreed to nullify the dealer exchange. However, we were suspicious and immediately, but discreetly, contacted East TN Dodge. We expressed an interest in purchasing this particular Jeep. To our dismay, we spoke to two separate individuals who advised us the Jeep had been SOLD 30 minutes ago. We then asked if there was some confusion and inquired if the Jeep had been wrecked. East TN Dodge insisted the vehicle had NOT been wrecked! After wading through the muck, we determined East TN Dodge appeared to have provided completely false information to Safford and simply sold the vehicle out from under them (and us)! Thereafter, we met with Leo(General Sales Mgr) and Jim(VP), both of whom advised there was not a lot they could do, except 1) make a complaint against East TN Dodge through corporate and 2) help us find another Jeep. Needless to say, we were NOT happy! To our knowledge, East TN Dodge never offered or did anything to atone for what many might deem to be an apparent lack of integrity! In our opinion, they (not Safford) should have done SOMETHING to regain Saffords trust and/or to help get us a better deal. Apparently, that was wishful thinking on our part. In all honesty, we should have probably just abandoned Safford and gone to another dealer. Moreover, we should have probably abandoned Jeep/Chrysler products altogether! However, we really had our hearts set on a Jeep Rubicon, and Joan and Troy (sales) had been VERY polite and professional! Luckily, Safford located a 2012 Jeep of interest to us in Charleston, WVA. Safford agreed to obtain the Jeep and have it shipped to their dealership with no obligation for us to purchase. One week later, the Jeep arrived at the Safford dealership and we made the purchase. We feel relatively confident that Safford did what they could to give us a good deal. But again, we believe it should have been even sweeter compliments of East TN Dodge. In the end, we did get a Jeep Rubicon, although our wallet ended up lighter having gone from the 2011 with rebate to the 2012 model with no rebate. But, we can say this for sure...the actions of East TN Dodge left a bitter taste in our mouth and definitely took ALL of the excitement out of our new purchase! Would we recommend Safford F'burg? Yes. Would we recommend East TN Dodge? Absolutely not! More

Ben was great to work with and was able to answer all my questions. I drove from an 1 1/2 away and he had everything waiting when i pulled in and wasted no time getting me out on a test drive. My wife and I went to Safford only to look at options for trading in her 2008 Jeep Patriot Sport. We had seen two 2011 models that had 4-wheel drive on their website and I had been bringing both our Jeeps t trading in her 2008 Jeep Patriot Sport. We had seen two 2011 models that had 4-wheel drive on their website and I had been bringing both our Jeeps to Safford for service (also really satisfied with their service department), a kinda win-win. Benjamin met us outside and I asked him to show us the two 4WD Jeep Patriots he had since we did not see them out in the front lot. He went back in and grabbed the keys to a couple he had on the front lot for us to look at while he located the ones we wanted to see on the website. Minutes later after deciding we didn't want any of the ones on the front lot, Benjamin came with the keys to the two we had seen on the website and let my wife drive one of the front lot Patriots around back to their rear lot. We sat in both, looked them over very well and took test rides in both. Compared them. It was my wife's vehicle by far, so I let her make the final decision between the two. The test ride in the Sport model w/ 4WD was more comfortable and smooth than the ride in the Latitude X model w/ 4WD. Not sure why. Latitude X had all the accessories including options and packages, but we still went with the Sport. Color was also a factor, the brilliant black is quite impressive. Benjamin was a trooper and was not pushy about the sale. We were probably not the easiest of customers since we are kinda picky! Although us having been regular customers in other departments probably made it much easier on their sale since they didn't need to take us around too much. Each of his co-workers in other departments were also great and very supportive while not being pushy or overbearing. We also came somewhat prepared with a lot of information, blue book values and financing options (somewhat). I highly recommend this dealership over the past few I've been involved with. I even found Safford of Fredericksburg to be better than it's sister one in Warrenton. More
First of all dodge is building outstanding vehicles. We traded in our 07 Lexus rx350 for a 2012 Durango and it is a huge step up in the quality of the ride and cool features. The dealership was very good w traded in our 07 Lexus rx350 for a 2012 Durango and it is a huge step up in the quality of the ride and cool features. The dealership was very good when it came to the price of the vehicle, they had accidentally posted end of year discount price on their website for a 2012 Durango when there should have been no rebates on the 2012, only the 2011. They told us that since we saw the price and asked about it that they would honor that price even if they didn't make any money on the deal. They honored this price and gave us a fair value for our trade in. Ben was a great salesman and answered all our questions. I would look here first for my future vehicles. More
