STG loves to promote luxurious vehicles which on the outside they look great but they come with a lot of mechanical issues! I purchased a vehicle from STG in October 2019 with an extended warranty through Portfolio. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY! Since I've purchased the vehicle I've had 2 different mechanical issues that were thankfully covered under the extended warranty; however, it is a nightmare dealing with both STG and Portfolio when it comes to the warranty. Unfortunately, here I am again with another mechanical issue (my third one in 2 years). My check engine light came on Saturday, December 25, 2021. I took my vehicle to the dealer service shop near my home on Monday, December 27, 2021, which is the same service shop that did my two previous repairs. Per the warranty contract the vehicle must be serviced at the dealer where the vehicle was purchased UNLESS you reside outside of a 20 mile radius. If so, you have to contact the selling dealer (STG) to have them notify Portfolio that they authorize the vehicle to be serviced at another dealer due to distance. As I stated before I've had to go through this process on two previous occasions and the vehicle was authorized to be serviced. Today, however, that is not the case. I received my vehicle diagnosis from the dealer service shop near my home on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. They initiated a claim with Portfolio and I already knew I needed to contact STG to get the authorization. I am not exaggerating when I say I had to call more than 5 times to try to get help with this. Each time I called the receptionist would put me and keep me on hold for more than 10 minutes supposedly transferring me to the correct person. I went back and fourth from the service department to finance back to the receptionist and each time I was on hold for more than 10 minutes. At one point I was on hold for more than 20 minutes. I finally was helped by a women in finance who wouldn't give me her name and stated that there was nobody there who could assist me with my issue and that I should call back tomorrow when the manager Manny is there who would be able to help me. Tomorrow comes, (today) Wednesday, December 29, 2021, and I call STG again and ask to speak to Manny. I am told he is on his lunch and to call back after 0130pm. I call back after 0130pm, again ask to speak directly to Manny and I get placed on hold for 10 minutes. On two occasions someone answers the line and quickly places me back on hold. Finally, the "service coordinator" by the name of Cailyn/Caitlin answers and advises me that Manny is not available and that he will be out until next week. Mind you I was just told he was on his lunch. I continue with Cailyn/Caitlin and let her know what is going on and what I need help with. She immediately tells me that they do not release authorizations anymore and that they just changed that just because. She did not care to hear me out nor help me. The salesmen at STG are sharks who just want to take your money and sell you everything they can, but when it comes to the customer needing help they're rude and don't care. I understand the pandemic has caused a shortage and strain on staff everywhere but STG needs to train their staff on the importance on keeping their customers happy. I will never purchase from STG again and I will make sure to spread the word on the horrible service STG provides and the trash vehicles they sell. It would be great if someone in management at STG would contact me to remedy this issue as I still need to get my vehicle serviced and to prevent any further issues as I have the warranty for another year, but I won't hold my breath! More

This is the worst used car dealership place in the world to buy a car. The staff was unprofessional,uneducated rude and have no manners and will try to ripped you off allthey can.They will tell YOU that th to buy a car. The staff was unprofessional,uneducated rude and have no manners and will try to ripped you off allthey can.They will tell YOU that they pre installed GPS for $1,500, just happen to be that we are looking for BMW, as you know every BMW installed that from the factory, all you have to do is download the apps second they will charge for $600 registration fee as every one know is 0.65% of the purchase price plus $46 and they try to charge you for $450 on top of $600 third, they will charge you $500 for the tint that’s it’s already factory installed, fourth they will charge $400 for door guard and once again it’s already factory installed, fifth they will charge for Bogus extended warranty for $3,500 and if you declined they will tell you flatly DONT BE CHEAP,INSULT YOU and BELITTLE YOU.. The very next day they will text you, saying is there anything that we can do to earn your business,, Really? They have some nerve to ask… PLEASE DONT BUY A CAR FROM STG AUTO GROUP PERIOD.. look elsewhere THIS PLACE ARE BIG RIPPED OFF ORGANIZATION…. More

We drove three hours to view a car we had seen on the Montclair STG wed site. When we saw and drove the car decided it was not for us. We looked at another one we liked and decided to purchase it. Going back and forth on the listed price and their offer for our trade in, we came to an agreement. It took three hours to workout the agreement and have it printed out. Two of those hours we sat in the salesman cubical waiting, we are in our eighties. Finally the salesman came back with the paperwork, and we signed. The he said their was a mistake in the paperwork and would be right back. About fifteen minutes later the sales manager, Christian Campos, comes in and tells us they can not sell us the car because our trade in was not worth what had been agreed on previously. They would need and additional four thousand more for the car. We said no and left, but on our was back home decided we still wanted the car and returned to the dealership. Agreed to purchase the car for another three thousand over the original agreed on price. I would not recommend anyone to purchase a car from STG Auto Group in Montclair, CA. They are a standard used car dealership, keep you there, agree to a good deal, then follow up with a tag team and screw you. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS. More
