Great car buying experience. Was able to buy my new 2021 Crosstrek Sport while driving between Exit 2 and Exit 5 on I-287. Had already priced this vehicle at 2 other dealerships and David Nausch was able to Crosstrek Sport while driving between Exit 2 and Exit 5 on I-287. Had already priced this vehicle at 2 other dealerships and David Nausch was able to give me a substantially lower price in only 3 exits. Met him for the first time a few minutes later and signed the paperwork at agreed upon price. Car pick up was stress free as finance and extended warranty pitch was in a non pressure environment. Dealership was super clean and all employees were wearing masks. Time is money and I spent less time buying this car at a great price than waiting in line at bank drive thru. VERY DISAPPOINTED I am typically not one to write reviews, but I felt after my experience at Subaru it was necessary. I went to the Subaru dealer in Elmsford last week. Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming, however, the sales manager (I think his name was Michael or Mike? ) was FAR from that. He was rude and very unprofessional. He made a lot of sarcastic remarks that were belittling (personal experience and my observation of his interactions with other customers). He made remarks insinuating that he didn't take the customer seriously as if he has any right to assume who and who can't shop there. He acted very entitled and condescending with his sleazy remarks. I am very disgusted by this behavior and for that reason, I refuse to go back there and will advise others against it as well More

Rude service personnel who refused to give us information. My wife & I purchased a new Subaru Forester LL Bean Edition. We have been experiencing blown headlight bulbs for the past two to three years. Our me My wife & I purchased a new Subaru Forester LL Bean Edition. We have been experiencing blown headlight bulbs for the past two to three years. Our mechanic informed us that this is not uncommon with Subaru headlights and told us that we needed to purchase two new headlight housing assemblies. We needed to know if the headlight housing assemblies were different in the LL Bean edition than in the other Forester models for that year. I called on 01/16/2018 just before closing and spoke to someone in the service department. He told me that to give us that information he would need the VIN # of the car. I told him that I would contact him the next day. My wife called the next day and spoke to someone in the service department who told her that he would have to look that information up. When my wife informed him that she was aware of that and let him know about the conversation from the day before he told her that he could not give that information and that we would have to purchase the part from Rye Subaru. I then called SOA and reported this dealership. We do not have to purchase parts from them and for them to say that we would have to in order to get a question answered is a real money grubbing thing to do especially after we bought the car from them. More
outrageously rude, disgusting treatment I did not like the pushy, rude sales managers on the floor so I looked elsewhere but returned after a woman from the front office called to woo me bac I did not like the pushy, rude sales managers on the floor so I looked elsewhere but returned after a woman from the front office called to woo me back in, promising to honor all the details of a better offer I got from a competitor if I would only do business with them. I came in, and worked out a satisfactory deal with a saleswoman - as I was about to pay the down payment a bullying lout intruded on the interaction, splaying his body over the computer keyboard between me and the saleswoman, changing the terms of the deal at the last minute, yanking paperwork from her hand and from mine when I questioned him. His conduct was extremely inappropriate - belittling, bullying, and his behavior was shockingly out of control -prancing around, making a mockery of himself the saleswoman not to mention the dealership with a you-dare-to -ask -me -a -question-temper tantrum asking “oh yeah, who told you could get this deal” (Nevermind that it was a woman above him who called ME in with a promise to honor all the deatails of the deal I was about to pay for). Apparently he could not tolerate what the women had worked out- he actually shouted OH YEAH WELL THERE’S THE DOOR- although everyone was in shock at his public display, not one person said a word to correct him or apologize to me or the saleswoman for their employees’ out of control behavior, nor has anyone called or contacted me since. More

Mr. Downing exhibits a rare confluence of modern day technological know how, absolute knowledge of his product and the highest degree of professionalism. Importantly, rather than just selling another vehicle, he was always focused on my best interests. I have purchased four Subarus from Neil. Each time, I left the dealership confident that he placed my individual needs and wants first and foremost in his efforts to find the right vehicle to suit my requirements.
