Royal Oak Ford’s service department was great. Since I live within a 10 mile radius of their location, they picked up and Re delivered my Mach e. Absolutely the worst buying experience I've ever had. Dealt with Donald who is totally incompetent. Has financing lined up at 5.99% through a credit union, Donald said he could beat the deal and proceede Dealt with Donald who is totally incompetent. Has financing lined up at 5.99% through a credit union, Donald said he could beat the deal and proceeded to hard pull my credit and came back with an offer of 7.5%. The following day he called to try and sell me on a warranty package that I declined. He then called my wife and co-signer to try and sell it to them. I'm purchasing this vehicle from Alaska and my wife is driving it back. I am insured through State Farm who told me it was no issue insuring it through them in Alaska, my lender also had no issue with this. Donald called me and told me that my co-signer had to insure the vehicle for my wife, who is on the title, to be able to drive the vehicle off the lot. We ended up having to buy temporary insurance in Michigan for the dealer to release the car to her. All this after we had finalized financing and had check in hand at the dealer. 15 phone calls, 8 emails, and 4.5 hours of sitting at the dealership later we finally have our new car. The financing manager finally stepped in toward the end and took over for Donald. He drew up the paperwork as a cash sale per Donald's instructions to then have to turn around and rewrite tit because as stated it is through a lending agency. Do yourself a favor and never try and buy a car through Donald at Royal Oak Ford. 4 days of headaches after finalizing lending and paying for 6 months of insurance in Alaska and now temp. insurance in Michigan we finally have our vehicle. Absolute joke of customer service. Rant over. More
