Hello, I am extremely reluctant to engage further, as we do not wish to prolong this negative experience. That said, here are the names involved and the basic details in hopes it might help your efforts. We came into the dealer with my Costco document printed. The price was crystal clear to both my wife and me. Every email exchange with Mr. Raptor consistently included the language “out the door price.” After our test drive, we were ready to move forward. We sat at John’s desk for about 90 minutes while he entered basic information for both my wife and me. He stepped away for a few minutes, and then Jesus Cantu came to the desk with a different, higher-priced Costco sheet. At that moment, it became clear that the terms we had agreed to were changing. Mr. Cantu attempted to explain why his price differed, but the manner felt condescending and unprofessional. He even spoke down to Mr. Raptor. At that point, my wife and I stood up, shook John’s hand, and decided we'd had enough. We were surprised John did not defend the agreed-upon Costco price sheet that was printed and sitting on his desk. Instead, he allowed Mr. Cantu to continue the conversation with us. We headed to our car, shaken and upset, and sat there for a few minutes while discussing the situation. John came out to ask for 10 minutes to make it right, and we agreed. Shortly after, the General Sales Manager, who I believe is Mr. Mortazavi, came out. He said he had reviewed the correspondence but was defensive of his team and did not acknowledge how the situation had become confusing. When I asked simply and directly whether he was willing to honor the original agreed-upon price, he grimaced, noting that he would not make any money on us regarding a trade-in or financing, but ultimately agreed. We shook hands and proceeded with the transaction. My wife joined for the last few minutes with Mr. Elkind, preferring to avoid further exposure to the negative experience while sitting in the cold and open sales area. Our intent in going through Costco was to simplify and streamline the buying experience. Unfortunately, this transaction was the opposite of that, with unclear communication, a shift in terms, and a focus on maximizing dealer profit rather than honoring the agreed-upon deal. Shawn Dachtler, based upon your other reviews, it seems unlikely we would have been able to make you happy. We tried explaining DMV Fees and tax, title and license. You paid zero other fees. Both Costco and GMC found zero credibility in your complaints and labeled you combative. Your attempts to continue to extort further "compensation" have left us with no choice to agree to no longer do business.
