Next day I was contacted by Krysta Diaz and a week or so later we made it happen via text and email. Not sure who the finance manager is that helped us by doing the leg work and getting it done but I’d like to thank him/her too. I just happen to be going to Arizona to visit my brother who lives two huts from the dealership. Krysta and another young met me halfway. I bought the truck sight unseen and they took my trade the same way. I work in retail and it’s not to often we get positive reviews so I felt it necessity leave one for the Royal team. I will definitely call them when the time comes for another vehicle. I’ll probab be living closer by then too. More
After weeks of frustration it only got worse and worse! Revised review to original: I attempted to buy a vehicle from Royal Buick GMC at the Automall. To make a long, 7-week story as short as possible: Revised review to original: I attempted to buy a vehicle from Royal Buick GMC at the Automall. To make a long, 7-week story as short as possible: My credit had taken a hit in the past 12 months. My scores from the three bureaus were between 621 and 648. Not great scores at all, and I knew I would be paying a higher APR because of those scores. On approximately December, 4, 2018 I saw a Royal advertisement online. I called the number in the ad for more info. The lady was exceptionally friendly and professional. She was at the ROYAL KIA dealership on Speedway. She did everything she said she would do. She took my info, ran my credit, asked about my trade-in info and said she would call me back when she had some answers. When she called back, she said they had vehicles that fit what I wanted and we scheduled an appointment up at ROYAL Buick at the automall, not with her. So I went to the automall when the day of the appointment came. After 4 or 5 hours, I drove off in a loaded 2017 Buick, having traded in my 2010 Buick LaCrosse. A week and a half or 2 weeks later, I got a call saying I needed to go back to the dealership and sign new papers, as the bank that had approved me had now NOT approved me. So I went back a few days later (right before Christmas) and signed new papers. About the 3rd week of January, 2019, I got a call from "a finance manager" who told me the second bank that had approved me (BACK BEFORE CHRISTMAS) now also had suddenly NOT approved me. The finance manager assured me HE was trying very hard to get me approved. I asked him why this was happening- AGAIN? I learned that ROYAL had ONLY submitted my income at about 60% (Which was 1 of my 2 proof of income docs I provided). I asked him why that happened and told him I had submitted all of my proof of income documents to the sales person on the day of my original appointment. He seemed perplexed and irritated. He had no answer and asked me to resend him all of my proof of income documents. The timing was horrible for me, but I knew I needed to do it, so I pushed back my appointments and went home and sent him what he asked for. He ended the conversation asking for a couple more days for him to get the loan approved. He assured me that the missing income document -THAT THEY MISPLACED- would make all the difference. After 4 days I had not heard back from him yet. I waited and was patient, despite being really fed up with this experience at ROYAL! FINALLY, few days later, the same finance manager called me to say that he had worked exceptionally hard on my behalf but was not able to get an approval. He said I needed to return the vehicle that day or the next day. I felt very frustrated with ROYAL, but relieved to be done with a horrible ROYAL experience. I agreed to return it the next day before 5:00. That night, knowing that my 3 bureau credit scores ranged between 621 and 648, I was dumbfounded that I didn't get approved. So I pulled all 3 reports and scores again to see if I could understand why I didn't get approved. What I found was shocking to me. First off, my scores had dropped significantly. Here it was, the last couple days of January, 2019 and my scores had fallen to between 570 and 605 from 621 and 648, in early December. What happened?!? After scouring my credit reports, I found out why my scores dropped and why I didnt get approved. My 3 credit bureaus had a total of 23 new/hard inquiries from December 4, 2018 to January 22, 2019 during the 7 weeks of dealing with Royal. The 23 included GM Financial (twice), Vantage West CU, AZ Central CU, Capital One (twice), Ally Financial (twice), Wells Fargo Dealer Services (twice) among others over a 44 day period. The financial institutions that ran twice, ran my credit in early December and again mid to late January all seeking approval for the same vehicle, yet it appears as 2 individual hits because of the length of time in between submissions. As of this week, the week of February 11, 2019, I am still receiving turndown letters from financial institutions. To further prove my point, these turndown letters received in my home mailbox stated INQUIRIES DID IMPACT THE SCORE! TransUnion showed 9 new inquiries, Equifax shows 5 and Experian shows 9 new inquiries, totaling 23 new inquiries over a 44 day span! With the newly adjusted credit scores, at 571, THERE WAS NO REPUTABLE FINANCE COMPANY GOING TO APPROVE ME! When I spoke to the finance manager, I made him aware of the 23 inquiries and told me "I can assure you we did not submit it to 23 places". I said, yes, you did and I have the credit bureaus print out and all the letters to prove it, he still denied it. So he lied to me or he doesnt know how his company works or what they do to seek an approval. Either case, I'll never return to ROYAL. To kick a man when he is down even more, after returning home from dropping off their car, I realized my teenage son had left something in the new car. The dealership was closed, so I sent an email to the finance manager and to my salesperson alerting them to the forgotten item. After no reply from either ROYAL employee, on the 3rd day I contacted them again. Finally the salesperson responded and assured me she had the item in an envelope and she would be sending it out via snail mail the next day. That took place the end of January. Here it is February 13, 2019 and I still have not received the item I was told was being mailed to me. I am so sick of ROYAL, I will just buy my son a replaced item rather than have to listen to their excuses and lies and get myself all worked up again. #washedmyhandsofROYALBUICK THANKS, ROYAL BUICK GMC for this awful experience! This is the second vehicle we've purchased from Krysta. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and provides a no pressure environment. The only thing the dealership can improve on is the time it takes to complete the paperwork and get on the road. While they try to make it bearable, it's still a long process that can be made more efficient to get the customer out the door. All in all, great dealership! And great saleswoman Krysta Díaz! More
