Ron had a great understanding of Honda vehicles and the transaction process. His professional demeanor and loyalty to the brand were obvious. The family atmosphere of the dealership was evident and every transaction process. His professional demeanor and loyalty to the brand were obvious. The family atmosphere of the dealership was evident and every employee I came across was content in their roles. The overall cleanliness and organization of every area of the dealership (including the lot, sales and service) conveyed a sense of great dedication to the overall customer experience. More

I have been going to Rte 23 Honda for about 4 yrs. now and family members longer than that. Dino always always treats you with the ut most respect and the rest of the staff are friendly and courtous. I ha and family members longer than that. Dino always always treats you with the ut most respect and the rest of the staff are friendly and courtous. I have hit rough financial times and Dino has always gotten me into a car. I highly recommend this dealership, but most of all ask for Dino Ricco. He is one good guy. If he can help you, he will go above and beyond to get you into a vehicle and if he cant, there is no xx, just straight talk. I like that. No hounds trying to sell you something you dont want. No broken promises. Dino is what other sales people should be. More

I brought two new Accords here. A 2008, 2010 and the other day a new 2012. I was very disapointed that this last sale was not as pleasent as the others. The Sales Manager played two many mind tricks on m other day a new 2012. I was very disapointed that this last sale was not as pleasent as the others. The Sales Manager played two many mind tricks on me with pricing that was totally un-necessary. He said the price would be one number but it became much higher and it was not what he said. He told me I would get $200.00 reward points for being a good customer and always having all my cars serviced here. I never got the points like he said I would. The worst thing that happened to me was that I was tricked into signing up for some kind of Easy Care Key program which cost me $325.00 which I did not ever want. The paper they had me sign stated n/a on the price leading me to believe that it was some kind of introductory program for a trial period.I asked about this and was told no extra charge. The actual cost for this was on another worksheet which I did not notice as I believed it was another fee. As soon as I found out I called my salesman and I e-mailed him but I have not heard anything back yet. I cannot give RT23 Honda a overall bad rating due this one very bad experience I had.The service dept is really good as they have always treated me great as well as doing excellent work. Really top notch staff and mechanics. What bothers me the most is that the last two new cars I brought here went so well and there were no "games" played on me.I don`t know if the owners are aware of what happened to me but I`m going back to talk to them and tell them. Its a shame a fine organization as this is resorting to sleazy tricks and I hope my experience is an exception. I will re-post after I see them and let everyone know what happened. More
Our family Honda history includes a 2000 Odyssey, 2006 Odyssey, and a 2008 Civic. On Friday February 17th 2012 we (my wife and I) took ownership of a Honda 2012 CR-V. So as you can tell, we are happy with Odyssey, and a 2008 Civic. On Friday February 17th 2012 we (my wife and I) took ownership of a Honda 2012 CR-V. So as you can tell, we are happy with a Honda. We had been waiting on purchasing a new vehicle since December 2011, waiting for the 2012 CR-V to become a reality. Sometimes buying a car can be as pleasant as getting a root canal, but at Rt. 23 Honda it was truly a pleasure. Now, we had first been to another local Honda dealership so we could compare the experience; that first one was not that appealing to us. Everyone we met at Rt. 23 Honda was friendly and eager to sell us the vehicle that we wanted. Our salesman is Ray Sebastiani, and I say is because his service did not end with the sale. Ray has continued to address our questions or concerns. Ray kept us informed frequently regarding the availability of the CR-V that we wanted. In fact, he even tracked down other dealers that I thought might have “our” car. In the end it came from the factory. During our Rt. 23 Honda experience we met some of the dealership associates - McNeil, Carlos, Alton, David, and Jeremy; plus others; all were very pleasant and helpful. We wanted to trade in our 2008 Honda Civic, and they met (what I understood via Kelley Book to be) our desired trade-in value. So we were happy “selling” a car there as well as buying a car there. They also were very generous with the financing interest rate they offered; that eliminated for us a lot of auto loan rate shopping. Ray called us in the morning that the car was in, by late afternoon it was financed and we were driving it home. The dealership also offers some nice customer extras like, filling the tires with nitrogen vs. air; the ability to accrue reward points for each service visit; a free loaner car for an extended service visit; and a nice looking Honda key chain. We have already used the Service Dept. for our 2006 Odyssey and accessory installation on the new CR-V and the experience was very good. The loaner car is a great convenience. It is only two weeks now but we are already pleased with our choice of the CR-V and Rt. 23 Honda. We would highly recommend RT. 23 Honda to our friends and co-workers. More
My husband and I visited Rt. 23 Honda on February 18, 2012, just to look at different car models. We’re not looking to buy a new car just yet, but we ended up going home with one. Fred Mehler was the BES 2012, just to look at different car models. We’re not looking to buy a new car just yet, but we ended up going home with one. Fred Mehler was the BEST salesman we ever dealt with. We bought two Honda’s from Honda of Essex several years ago and the service didn’t match our present experience. My husband knew what he wanted to pay for the car and Fred worked out the numbers for us. He was very honest with us and gave us the best price. Fred Mehler and his co-workers were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Fred and Route 23 Honda for anybody looking for a new or used vehicle. More
I used to bring my 2008 Honda odyssey for simple maintenance ... Oil change, they couldn't handle it, oil spills in a new vehicle, sends it back to the eighties, so when you drive you will smell the maintenance ... Oil change, they couldn't handle it, oil spills in a new vehicle, sends it back to the eighties, so when you drive you will smell the burned oil from the careless service "certified" techs. Then when my van was recalled for some problem with braking, they disconnected the battery terminal and trashed the engine compartment with battery green corrosion pieces, they didnt bother using some air to clean it. I sold the van a year ago, I just want to inform others who car about theirs cars, and care about the reselling value More
