Had two recalls and an oil change on my Hyundai Sonata I received a recall notice and called the service department. They were able to schedule my appointment for first thing the next day. The service tech I received a recall notice and called the service department. They were able to schedule my appointment for first thing the next day. The service tech was very friendly and walked me through what would need to be done. Everything was done well and quicker than expected (I was waiting at the shop). And there was no cost. Very happy with the service. More
Great experience. Had a small problem and needed a couple of recall items taken care. They performed the work in the time frame specified. They also performed a free courtesy check and I'm always on the fence about that as I see it as an upsell opportunity where the dealer is looking at me with dollar signs in their eyes. I am pretty diligent and a smart cookie about car maintenance and have maintained mine well enough in the almost 9 years I've owned it. Service dept made a list suggesting 6 repairs totalling over $1,100. The service advisor tried to tell me the spark plugs had never been changed on my car (wrong, sorry!) and he was a little pushy about getting me to commit to all the work. He backed off a bit though. I appreciate the diagnostic but the cost of the repair work rivaled the Blue Book value of the car. Thanks for the recall repair but I'll be getting the car serviced at a mechanic who won't price gauge me. My car is 9 years old next month (built 1/26/08 in Korea) and so it only has to last me another year tops. More
