Unethical pricing of new cars and purchasing of lightly used cars. Lack of fair trade value. My family was completely ripped off by this “family business”. We attempted a trade up and lost $ 14,000 of value after 2 weeks and less than 700 miles on our Hyundai Ionic. Verbal discussion of pricing was drastically different than written contract. “Lies of omission” at best. Someone please hold them accountable. Boycott this dealership. More

Wednesday my car wouldn’t start back up, I was able to push it into a private shop right up the road. They tell me the starter is bad. Friday a gentlemen named Don the service director gave me a call and push it into a private shop right up the road. They tell me the starter is bad. Friday a gentlemen named Don the service director gave me a call and I explained what had happened exactly with the starter and how it essentially burnt out and started smoking and actually caught fire . He was highly concerned, suggested I get it to them right away, made it seem like the motor was bad since open recall on it. Had me thinking ok great I’ll get this all covered under the 10/100k warranty and I assured him I have the extended bumper to bumper coverage. I get it towed to South Brunswick Hyundai. It’s even been at this shop for a button issue inside the vehicle and was covered from the bumper to bumper warranty, pretty obvious they should know at this point. Friday evening I get a call from John the service advisor telling me best he can do is maybe Tuesday morning or even Wednesday to get it looked at and start the process for motor inspection and possible replacement just like his superior Don told me. All this time I kept mentioning I need a loaner which I kept getting the we don’t have any right now but you are top of the list. Understandable since I was showing up before requesting a loaner prior. The next morning I call Don and mentioned what his advisor tells me. He mentioned to me it’s a holiday weekend and I’m at the top of his list for a loaner and it’s much easier to work something out on a loaner when Hyundai is notified it’s all under a warranty related repair. Tuesday afternoon around 12:15pm I get a call from John saying hey it’s the starter it’s $900 you don’t have coverage. I explain in fact I do, I even do all of the leg work and get my paperwork and contact numbers for the warranty coverage. I relay it all along to his personal phone he said to text or call. Great fantastic I’m thinking. Unfortunately getting a hold of Don and John is a very arduous task. The rest of the day I get no call back from John after getting all of the proper material to him. Wednesday morning 8:30 I call again, John actually answered the phone. Tells me he reached out to the warranty people and he’ll call me back after touching base with them again at 9am. 12:15 I call him back since he hasn’t called me. No answer. I call Don his boss, no answer. 12:30 I get a call back from John saying hey it’s covered give me 2-3 hours by end of day it’ll be done. I stress the loaner car issue to John, I get told “we don’t really do loaner cars for this but you can go to enterprise and rent a car and submit a claim through Hyundai for reimbursement”. Great all this time I was lied to. 3:30 I reach back out no answer and was told John is busy I leave a urgent message for him to call me back. 4pm I get a call from John and I ask what’s the reality on my car actually being done like promised, his response was “your car has been done, I thought I told you”. Clearly lack of communication, let alone basic customer service is a major issue with this service department. 4 days for a vehicle that was explained to have caught fire from a potential major motor failure by staff themselves at this location. I pick my car up that evening and that $900 price tag ended up being only $600 after realizing it was covered under warranty. Clear as day at this point I was being ripped off. Never again will I use this dealer or even suggest it. After contacting my parent dealer where the vehicle was purchased they were shocked about all of this and even offered to getting it towed to them for free. More

We signed the contract and all luckily same day after they left we looked at contact and price was changed by $1000 I contacted him via text saying something seems not right my number does not match on what we agreed on table. So he said may be it is gap insurance I told we did not took gap insurance. Then he said it is too late now finance guy is left. I told Ahmad that I am very upset as you guys are cheating and doing price fraud, I even told him I am going to write a review what happened to me so other buyer will know how you treat customers. Ahmad then started offering saying what makes you happy if I can offer you something would not right anything and say Janet my boss that I took good care for you. We both agreed on full season mats for Hyundai Ioniq-5 I said first fix this mess on price change then will see. We got text very next day @9:05am saying good morning what time are you coming? If you come before 1pm is good. We went there 1:10pm as we had to finish some stuff. Now new game started Emanuel Lugo came in picture Started where is the keys you are here to return you car correct? We were surprised as we got text from Ahmad saying come before 1pm as to fix the contact. I asked where Ahmad then Emanuel stated he will not come now as there was issues now I will handle your deal. So they knows that there was $1000 over priced then what we agreed he was physically there but did not come forward to talk. I told Emanuel that I am here to fix contract as there was $1000 more then what we agreed yesterday he said yes it was our Finance guy Tommy made mistake while doing paper work. I said okay so fix that and there is no point of discussion on returning car? Also Emanuel said yes but after you will be happy and not write the review I said lol why are you worried about review you guys made fraud on price with over $1000 which I checked afterwards luckily find out what if not then I was scared by $1000 paying over what we agreed. So I told that is my problem to write review or not but please let’s settle this for now. Also he said Ahmad offer may but we don’t have and cannot offer you anything only thing we can fix the price by$1000 which was our mistake. I said then why did Ahmad promised yesterday today you saying no. Emanuel then stated saying you know what let’s just cancel this and you give me keys back. I said buddy this car is my now if you want you buy it from me. You cannot just take the keys. I can call police and make complaint as I already paid for car you charged $1000 more, you offer mate and now you playing really hard on giving keys back? I said let’s talk to Janet directly and let me explain whole thing Emanuel started you know what now this will go ugly. I said look I need my contacted to be corrected at the same time you guys should at least be responsible of your mistake and respectful but here it is opposite you are rude and acting like there is nothing wrong. Emanuel went inside talked to Janet and come back saying we can fix this $1000 now but we cannot offer anything as mats are not available and I am not sure why Ahmad offer that to you. Finally, Emanuel fix contact and we see $1000 extra charged was removed. As per my experience please make sure that you double check your price and final contact. I went through this headache. Total bad experience, they do not have courtesy to say sorry. More
Salesperson and finance manager try to strong arm you into a vehicle you don’t want. I had a specific price range and the options I wanted. They brought me vehicles that didn’t match at all. Then I get the finance guy leaving and coming back and lowering the price 5 dollars a month. Wanted me to pay almost 500 a month for a vehicle with 70k miles on it. Went to Carmax. Had a very pleasant experience and will take my business there from now on. More

Received an email from Jose Calderon as the person taking over the sale and he conveyed to me the deal I had agreed to with Ann Marie was not being honored. He read the notes and he confirmed the notes say $ over the sale and he conveyed to me the deal I had agreed to with Ann Marie was not being honored. He read the notes and he confirmed the notes say $1k over MSRP. This is the same person who had told me the car was going to be sold for 5-6k over MSRP. Needless to say, I told him his dealership was not honoring what they agreed to. I told him I would never buy a from him or his dealership. He then told me the agreed to deal was for another vehicle, which is not true at all. I told him someone is lying and my email communication does not support what he is saying. They play too many games and will do and say anything to have you go in and take advantage. Check the rating and reviews before going there, they will lie, even put it in writing and back out because they will take advantage of someone else. I submitted a quote with all my information for a Hyundai Hybrid Blue thru the Hyundai USA website on 10/20/21. I received an email asking I contact them regarding the vehicle I was looking for. In speaking with them, I was told I needed to come in to get information. I explained I already own a Tucson Hybrid Blue and was looking for another one. They went ahead and told me the vehicle is in transit and the vehicle would be sold for at least $5,000 above MSRP. I explained I am looking for a Tucson at the same cost I bought my other one a month earlier. I send them my bill of sale to prove it and I received a call back telling me what they could do. I agreed and offered to proceed and put a deposit down. So today 10/22, I received a text message asking to come in to test drive the vehicle, obviously they did not listen when I told them I have a 2022 Tucson Hybrid already. So I called after my reply to them and told the lady I was ready. Once they realized I was serious, they have not answered or responded. They answered the phone and told me she was on break and she will call me shortly. It’s 5 hours later and nothing. One thing I will not do is take a ride an hour away to be told the vehicle is not available and there is a line of people waiting. So with that said, regardless of needs, I will never go to the dealership and I recommend you call them, be up front and decide based on your experience. I can prove all of this information. Horrible experience. Because of COVID and the car inventory shortage I decided to buy my car at the end of its lease. My residual value cost was low as well as low mileage due to working from home. This is my 3rd car from the dealership and the salesperson told me I had to pay an additional lease end buyout of $1,699 to purchase the car. I then asked to speak with a manager. Salesperson came back to me and told me he was too busy to talk to me. Wow what great customer service. I told salesperson I would wait. Waited and then manager finally came to talk to me. Still would not negotiate the acquisition fee. Walked out and will never go back. More
UPDATE - I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. We went there on a Saturday to pick up a car with pre negotiated numbers and left. Not only did they have us just sit there for 2 hours, but the numbers were slightly different than what was discussed on the phone. Next step was to renegotiate the deal and then go back, which I did. Keeping in mind the dealership is an hour away from our house. Called the sales manager back to get a SECOND car from them in a week. Barely responded to my calls and emails. Won’t honor any pricing we discussed a few days prior. Overall just a poor experience and way too many hours spent driving to the dealership and back (3 trips for a total of six hours). Prior review: I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership. The sales team is friendly, particularly Manny. He is great to deal with and is no nonsense. I called other Hyundai dealers and they wouldn’t talk on the phone or wanted me to come in just to give pricing, but Manny got straight to the numbers and boy they were great. Again, I couldn’t suggest a better dealer/salesman to work with. More
