Sean answered my questions everytime. He made sure I understood the loan and cost. Everyone I talked to were so nice. I’ll shop there again He made sure I understood the loan and cost. Everyone I talked to were so nice. I’ll shop there again More
Received an email from Jose Calderon as the person taking over the sale and he conveyed to me the deal I had agreed to with Ann Marie was not being honored. He read the notes and he confirmed the notes say $ over the sale and he conveyed to me the deal I had agreed to with Ann Marie was not being honored. He read the notes and he confirmed the notes say $1k over MSRP. This is the same person who had told me the car was going to be sold for 5-6k over MSRP. Needless to say, I told him his dealership was not honoring what they agreed to. I told him I would never buy a from him or his dealership. He then told me the agreed to deal was for another vehicle, which is not true at all. I told him someone is lying and my email communication does not support what he is saying. They play too many games and will do and say anything to have you go in and take advantage. Check the rating and reviews before going there, they will lie, even put it in writing and back out because they will take advantage of someone else. I submitted a quote with all my information for a Hyundai Hybrid Blue thru the Hyundai USA website on 10/20/21. I received an email asking I contact them regarding the vehicle I was looking for. In speaking with them, I was told I needed to come in to get information. I explained I already own a Tucson Hybrid Blue and was looking for another one. They went ahead and told me the vehicle is in transit and the vehicle would be sold for at least $5,000 above MSRP. I explained I am looking for a Tucson at the same cost I bought my other one a month earlier. I send them my bill of sale to prove it and I received a call back telling me what they could do. I agreed and offered to proceed and put a deposit down. So today 10/22, I received a text message asking to come in to test drive the vehicle, obviously they did not listen when I told them I have a 2022 Tucson Hybrid already. So I called after my reply to them and told the lady I was ready. Once they realized I was serious, they have not answered or responded. They answered the phone and told me she was on break and she will call me shortly. It’s 5 hours later and nothing. One thing I will not do is take a ride an hour away to be told the vehicle is not available and there is a line of people waiting. So with that said, regardless of needs, I will never go to the dealership and I recommend you call them, be up front and decide based on your experience. I can prove all of this information. I also have the email trail as well. More
Horrible experience. Because of COVID and the car inventory shortage I decided to buy my car at the end of its lease. My residual value cost was low as well as low mileage due to working from home. T inventory shortage I decided to buy my car at the end of its lease. My residual value cost was low as well as low mileage due to working from home. This is my 3rd car from the dealership and the salesperson told me I had to pay an additional lease end buyout of $1,699 to purchase the car. I then asked to speak with a manager. Salesperson came back to me and told me he was too busy to talk to me. Wow what great customer service. I told salesperson I would wait. Waited and then manager finally came to talk to me. Still would not negotiate the acquisition fee. Walked out and will never go back. More
UPDATE - I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. We went there on a Saturday to pick up a car with pre negotiated numbers and left. Not only did they have us just sit there for 2 hours, but the numbers went there on a Saturday to pick up a car with pre negotiated numbers and left. Not only did they have us just sit there for 2 hours, but the numbers were slightly different than what was discussed on the phone. Next step was to renegotiate the deal and then go back, which I did. Keeping in mind the dealership is an hour away from our house. Called the sales manager back to get a SECOND car from them in a week. Barely responded to my calls and emails. Won’t honor any pricing we discussed a few days prior. Overall just a poor experience and way too many hours spent driving to the dealership and back (3 trips for a total of six hours). Prior review: I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership. The sales team is friendly, particularly Manny. He is great to deal with and is no nonsense. I called other Hyundai dealers and they wouldn’t talk on the phone or wanted me to come in just to give pricing, but Manny got straight to the numbers and boy they were great. Again, I couldn’t suggest a better dealer/salesman to work with. More
I had gone to South Brunswick Hyundai yesterday to fix an ABS recall on the vehicle and to get an oil change. As my lease was coming to an end, wanted to see the costs for a buy out. On the service front - ABS recall on the vehicle and to get an oil change. As my lease was coming to an end, wanted to see the costs for a buy out. On the service front - I get a call that I need to do tire balancing, need to replace engine air filter & replace air conditioning filter. I agreed to have the filters changed. While taking delivery, I wanted to see the old filters - they were perfectly fine and would have lasted another 15K miles. They just wanted to charge more - highly unprofessional. In the bill they charge 3.5% of the total bill as credit card usage charges (billed as service charge). This is daylight ROBBERY - as Mastercard charges a max of 2.74% to the merchant (Visa & Discover are lower). In each bill they are charging 0.75% or more !!!!! In the sales department, the sales person said he will get discuss and get me the costs for a lease end buy out, He said in addition to the residual cost mentioned in the lease doc, taxes and DMV fee, I need to pay $1750 to the dealership as their fee!! He wanted to pull a fast one. BEWARE of these guys, Not sure how long they will last in business with these values. More
About three weeks ago I purchased a 2012 Jaguar, and shipped it to my house in Florida. To begin with, as an out of state buyer, I asked if we could come to an agreement on shipping. I was told that t shipped it to my house in Florida. To begin with, as an out of state buyer, I asked if we could come to an agreement on shipping. I was told that they "do not get involved" with shipping because it is "too complicated." Next, as with every car I buy, I did a thorough inspection upon delivery. The front tires were the original tires from 2011. They were dry rotted and falling apart in my hands and were nothing short of dangerous to drive on. So, I immediately spent $500 to have new tires put on, just so I could drive my car safely. Seeing this as an oversight by the service department, as the tires were nearly triple their safe age, I contacted the salesman and then the manager that I dealt with to see if they would help compensate for this error. Let me be clear- this car COULD NOT be driven at any speed like this. Not on a test drive, not home from the dealership, nothing. I was told that they would not cover the new tires because: A. they discounted me $1,000 off the asking price of $31,000 that I should not be complaining, even though I never asked for this discount, and B. because they are not a direct component of the drivetrain. It was more than obvious that because I had already paid for the car that they felt no need to correct an error of their own. Then, I found out that they never transferred my tag. I specifically asked while filling out paperwork if a tag transfer could be done, and was told to write all of my registration information on the paperwork and cross out the new tag option. Based on these blatant, lazy oversights, I'm petrified for what else hasn't been addressed. I am more than aware that no used car is perfect, but the experience I've had with these dealership made it clear that they lack focus and attention to detail and have no care for their customers. Where do I begin... an ABSOLUTE HORROR STORY. so to start, I inquired about an available Infiniti QX80 they had on their lot. They hounded me via text, email and call. I expressed that this wasn't a ca start, I inquired about an available Infiniti QX80 they had on their lot. They hounded me via text, email and call. I expressed that this wasn't a car we loved but for a good deal we would consider. We had a clean, low mileage Hyundai to trade in and wanted a bigger truck. We had cash for the balance. The car was listed at 49k (which is above the market cost for the mileage) but I told them we wanted to be $41k out the door - we had a car to trade in and the balance would be paid cash. The woman Angelica calls me back (and I have an email with my max price of 41k all in) says they would take our car for a value of 17k and we can pay the remainder to hit the 41k mark. So I said okay, if that is the offer I'll have you speak to my husband. She then has another sales guy Mike call us back. We go over the deal again, he says yes. My husband said okay I want to make sure the car is clean and this is the deal before we drive over an hour with 2 babies. He calls us back said nope all is good, you're in for $41k all in. So we drive all the way there, the car smelt of cigarettes and needed breaks but my husband said he could fix it. So we offer them 40k all in due to the need to clean and fix the brake pads. They come back and say deal. We go to give the keys for our car (17k value) and the balance was a wire cash transfer. Only to find out... these frauds thought we would give them our car for 17k and a check for 40,0000!!!! Are you kidding me? The car was listed for 49k and you idiots actually thought we would give you 57k for a car? Not only is that insane for a use Infiniti truck, it's 8k over the asking price. Unfreaking real! Who in their right mind would pay above asking for a car anywhere, let alone Hyundai?? We go to the manager, EMANUEL LUGO, who was VERY VERY rude, and treated me as a woman with straight disrespect. He was not only rude to me, he demeaned me with his comments and attitude. It was apparent he has ZERO respect for women and is clearly sexist. I asked him for his name he refused to say, he hid his name, and threaten to call the police and said he wouldn't speak to me. But I went on the website and found his name and photo. This was all because he was frustrated that him and his sales team are incompetent, unprofessional, and not experienced what so ever. In addition, don't speak to Angelica and Mike, they don't know how to do their job properly and give false information along with their supervisor that I speak of above. Aside from their idiotic ability to do their job correctly, they took our wire transfer/ then after they realized they said the wrong information to us, and the manager didn't care, they went to send our cash wire back to us and refused to refund the $25 it cost us to initiate the transfer they messed up on!!! So we spent 2 hours back and forth, brought two babies with us, spent gas, put miles on our car and spent $25 for their incompetence. DO NOT GO HERE!! They're crooked, lie and will try to steal your money. Who the xxxx would pay $8k above the value for a car?? Are they insane. I hope this place shuts down, they don't deserve to get any business. They're crooks. I have videos of how they treated my family, and proof of all emails they told me one thing yet didn't do as they said. I'd be happy to share - and plan to post them widely. Beware of this place. They also don't wear masks, see photos. No mask, or under the nose. Not taking covid protocol seriously. These are also the two men who were very rude and wouldn't acknowledge what them and their team did, having us drive there for a deal they didn't honor. More
I recently purchased a used vehicle from this agency. My sales Rep was Michael Daniell. I was quoted a price for four different items which were car, motor vehicle, doc, and sales tax. The motor vehicle sales Rep was Michael Daniell. I was quoted a price for four different items which were car, motor vehicle, doc, and sales tax. The motor vehicle registration fee and sales tax were not accurate. My Motor vehicle registration fee quoted was $200 turned out to be $129.50. The sales tax quote was $1430.33, turned out to be $1279.68. Between the two fee's overquote was about $220. The money was not returned to me instead they just absorbed it by adding it to the price of the Car. So the car price I was quoted was $18500, but instead turned out to be $18720.92...Very dishonest way of doing business to say the least. Upon being in contact with my salesman Michael Daniell, two different times, I was told that he would see that I received a refund for the amount of $220.92.. Not only was the agency shady, but the salesman continued to lie about the outcome. Very Dishonest salesman to say the least. I would be very careful dealing with this agency. More
I have been a customer of Hyundai of South Brunswick since it was owned by Brad Benson. Over the years, I have purchased multiple cars from them, and never had an experience like I just had. I purchas since it was owned by Brad Benson. Over the years, I have purchased multiple cars from them, and never had an experience like I just had. I purchased a 2015 Sonata with about 5000 miles on it, along with a bumper to bumper 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty. Within about a year, the paint on the roof was peeling off, so I brought the car back for them to fix it. They agreed to fix it, but would not provide a loaner car, so I had to spend about $250 for a rental. About 1.3 years later, the roof was again peeling, and this time, they did provide a loaner, but wanted me to pay part of the cost of the repair. When I protested, I got an attitude from the service manager, and was told not to come back there again. This is NOT a customer friendly dealership, and I would strongly recommend people to stay away from them. If it was possible to give a dealership 0 stars, I would definitely do so. More
