For starters, I had a great experience working with Peter Herbst when shopping for a vehicle. I had an idea what I was looking for, but with his enhanced knowledge of the vehicles, he was able to show me fea Herbst when shopping for a vehicle. Great personality, very casual and laid back, and I mean that in the best way possible. He was not a “suit” looking to push me to buy something I wasn’t comfortable with. He was simply interested in what my wife and I were looking for in a vehicle. By far one of the most accommodating salesmen I’ve ever worked with, willing to go out of his way for me even when it wasn’t called for. I can’t say enough good things about him. Hard working, committed to everything he does (and is also a volunteer first responder). Whatever this man’s salary, it should be doubled. Disclaimer, I did not know Peter prior to scheduling a test drive through the Rt 1 Hyundai website. As far as the dealership, they have an abundance of varieties of vehicles. They may experience more foot traffic on weekends, but I went Friday around 4:30 and was helped immediately upon walking in the door. Again, it helps to schedule an appointment. Unlike certain auto malls, this dealership didn’t have entire families climbing in and out of vehicles. I’ve been places where it is obvious that people have been climbing around leaving little scuff marks inside the vehicles. These were very well kept, the car I purchased still wrapped in plastic. Great experience, and would absolutely buy another Hyundai with Peter once I can afford one. Lastly, we purchased a Santa Fe and the car is amazing. Not the first car I had my eyes on, but after some research and a test drive, I was sold. I think this sums up everything. More
