If you want to buy a Hyundai in the tri-state region, you MUST go find Sammy Chow at Brad Benson Hyundai in Monmouth Junction, NJ. As drivers with over 35 years of experience and 10 total vehicles purchased, MUST go find Sammy Chow at Brad Benson Hyundai in Monmouth Junction, NJ. As drivers with over 35 years of experience and 10 total vehicles purchased, my family has NEVER EVER found a car salesman that is as patient, attentive, and caring about the entire purchase process before, during AND AFTER than Sammy Chow is. I worked with Avery Wadlington and Tom Mastro (sales manager) as well, but Sammy was eventually the main sales person. Right away, I could tell that Sammy is the car sales person that I want to work with. - During the purchase, I changed my mind several times on the particular configuration of the car. Sammy took it upon himself to search for them in the company system AND walked the entire lot in the freezing December wind (Brad Benson is the #1 Hyundai Dealership in the country = very large lot). - Despite me performing extensive research on the car, he also provided information that weren't available on the internet, explaining EVERYTHING in detail about the it. - The purchase process transpired between 7PM and 11PM. Sammy did everything in his power to make it as fast as possible after the test drive to help us get home early. It was not bright enough in the lot, but he got the garage to allow us to inspect the car inside. - Sammy also went out of his way to educate us on many things, many of which were about car care, tips and etc... not much related to the purchase itself. I found him to be very helpful as such information were based on experience and not available anywhere else. - Even after I left the dealership with my new car, Sammy called me a couple of times to help answer questions that I had during the purchase. This is what he does... going out of his way to answer even the simplest question. - Unfortunately, one of the tires went flat after the purchase. Sammy did not brush me off and let me hanging. Other salesmen would quickly dismiss it as bad luck or customer responsibility. No, Sammy stepped up to the plate and was ready to assist us in resolving the issue. I felt comfortable, apperciative, and special with everything he did. I wish there was a Sammy at every dealership I purchased from. All other salesmen just want to get the sale completed. Then after, they let us deal with our own problems. Not Sammy and Brad Benson Hyundai. Their business is selling cars, but they put customer satsifaction and experience before that. They know that a happy customer is a buying customer. They do not treat me well simply because they want to get another car out the door. They really believe in customer care, even after sales completion. And as I watched other polite and professional salesmen negotiate with their prospects, I know Sammy is the best out of all of them. There is no obligation whatsoever for Sammy to remain attentive and helpful above and beyond after purchase. That did not seem to matter to him. He felt natural to make sure that even after the next day that I remain 100% satsified. You don't meet sales persons like this everywhere, regardless of industry. Unbelievably fantastic. During negotiation, I also worked with Tom Mastro. This is usually the most challenging part of the purchase, but he did not make it a headache for me. It was again no hassle. Of course, their goal is to make profit, and we can't expect a salesman to not make money. But they make sure that they work with us and not against us. Here is something else about honesty: when another sales person mistakenly fed me the wrong information, he made sure he ran out of the building to correct it. It wasn't really a big deal, but Tom made sure that I wasn't confused. He did not do it to protect the integrity of his dealership, and that's also something that you don't find everywhere. Tom made sure that my voice was always heard, making sure that Sammy does in fact place my needs above everything else. I can see why this dealership is so successful. Tom's leadership prepares his team to serve and treat the customers as they are the most important element in the sales process. You really will be losing out if you go anywhere else to buy a car. I left feeling like a winner, both because I got a great deal and because I felt appreciated for my business. Thank you Sammy, Tom, Avery and Brad Benson Dealership. More
Although we wound up with a good deal at the end, we had to fight for it. The ad promotions said "Everyone Will Leave With" no haggle, 30% off posted price, and $1000 AMEX gift card. Non of this happened. I to fight for it. The ad promotions said "Everyone Will Leave With" no haggle, 30% off posted price, and $1000 AMEX gift card. Non of this happened. It was all haggle, and to be entitled the promotion you had to be 46 yrs 12 days 6 hrs 48 mins and 32 secs old, a virgin, and live in a spaceship. At the end there was no gift card, as it was "negotiated away". During every section of the contract, they tried to sneak in $100 here and there, leave out an extra, so the contract was retyped three times and still had white-out on it. Take your own notes during negotiations, as they will remove every scrap with a number written on it before bringing out the contract. All errors were called honest mistakes, but were always in their favor. Dealer Posted prices are %15 above MSRP. If the car you want is not on the lot, either the deal is off or they will pitch you to change your mind to a car that is there. The car was my daughters' first large purchase and I was proud of the way she steered her way through the usual car dealer deceptions and caught each "mistake". I was there to make sure she was no taken advantage of. Just out of principle, I would have left once they changed away for the promotion we came in for. Overall, you can get a good deal. If you are an unseasoned car buyer, I suggest you bring a negotiator to help you out. More
Only because they have corrected a wrong and made it right without returning the car. I still have yet to get my extra key, review my car in detail and a full tank of gas that is stillpromised. My friends and family told me I should check this place out, and I just said it's all the same everywhere, why drive further than I have to. When I was told I had to order my Sante Fe and it would take 4-6 out, and I just said it's all the same everywhere, why drive further than I have to. When I was told I had to order my Sante Fe and it would take 4-6 weeks, I decided to check if Brad Benson had the one I wanted. Bill Terrell was my sales associate and said to stop in, I won't be sorry. They have a high volume of cars and they need to push the metal out. Well he was right, I ended up buying my new Sante Fe that day. He was very thorough with every aspect of the car, he answered all my questions with honesty, and very patient with my decision. I would definitely suggest adding Brad Benson to your list of dealerships to visit. I probably could have saved a few weeks of looking around. More
I chose to visit this dealership based on an ad I heard on the radio. I followed up by visiting the overall Hyundai website, which also directed me to this dealership. I spoke to Anthony almost immediately on the radio. I followed up by visiting the overall Hyundai website, which also directed me to this dealership. I spoke to Anthony almost immediately thereafter (I called him, based on his follow-up email). We set an appointment for 12/13. I jumped the gun, and went to the dealership on the afternoon of 12/12. I was very pleased, although Anthony wasn't in office. We met Kevin, who forwarded us to Damien. Damien was personable, knowledgeable, and listened to all of my requirements. I didn't really have any objections, but he answered all of my questions thoroughly and well. I didn't feel baited and switched at all, just cared for and taken care of. Everyone from the sales manager, other sales guys on the floor, the service staff and manager, and the finance staff made us feel right at home, treated us as people and as guests, not just as their paycheck. It really made a difference, and I'm very glad I came to this dealership. The car is awesome, too! More
Damien was fabulous! He went above and beyond what any salesman would do! He accommodated all our wishes and give us what we asked for! He was wonderful to work with, and was very pleasant. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to buy a new car - especially a Hyundai. Damien has got to be your best and most reliable salesman! More
The dealer was friendly and respectful. I went to another dealership and walked out the door. I visited the dealership on thanksgiving black Friday to shop for Hyundai Sonata. I had to wait for an hour as the place was overcrowded due to black friday sales. I worked with Bill Terrell that day. He ma shop for Hyundai Sonata. I had to wait for an hour as the place was overcrowded due to black friday sales. I worked with Bill Terrell that day. He made me feel comfortable, got down all my details and then showed me the car that I was looking for. I test drove the car and once satisfied with the car, we negotiated on the price. I got down very close to the price I was looking for. He went over all the details about the car with me before I could go over to finance department to close the finance part. Bill is a great guy and would recommend him. Overall my experience was good with the salesperson and the dealership. More
I went to Brad Benson to Lease an Mitsubishi Outlander SE I went to Brad Benson to Lease an Mitsubishi Outlander SE with AWD....I met with Steve L. the internet salesman since I checked the vehicle on line.. I went to Brad Benson to Lease an Mitsubishi Outlander SE with AWD....I met with Steve L. the internet salesman since I checked the vehicle on line....I told Mr Steve L. i want to purchase an AWD Outlander,he Told me we will check the lot for the different colors it comes in.During the test drivewhich is only around Rte 1(which is not away to test drive the Vech., I was driving an FWD and told him wanted an AWD.He had Forgot(which People do Forget so I am not Holding him fot that.Steve L. told me to think about the Tuson which came in the AWD, After looking at it I told them i want the Outlander. He took me in the showroom to see what they can do for me....I met with Tommy M.-Sales Manager who Steve L. told him what i was looking for...Tommy M. told me he will have the vehicle that I am looking for on Friday, I was told by Tommy M. just come in Friday to sign Paperwork and take the Vehicle....Later that night after attempting to contact him about the time frame, he told my wife that he never stated that..I had to come in on Friday to sign the paperwork than they will get the the vehicle. I returned on Friday to meet with Steve L. who was busy with another customer, Steve L. introduced me to Rus-Saleman who just started an month ago. Rus was told i was now looking for an Tuson AWD and take good care of me. We went in the lot to see Tusons that meet my requirments that i am lookking for. When I went back Saturday was told they were going to meet my numbers. I was told they will not meet why mumbers, I left the showroom only to get a call Brad Benson is going to meet my numbers only to going back to find out that their Business Office tells the Salesmangers and Salesman what the final numbers will be....This is wrong since the Mangers and Salesperson tell the Business office what deal is and not the Business Office. They also knew I was going from an FWD to an AWD, which they played dumb about it and added more to the trade......While Showing me AWD Vehicles..... Also be aware that they have two different prices on the vehicles ...One is the MRSP which they don't use and the other is their price for the vehicle which you are looking to purchase this is about $2,000 to $400,00 higher for you added features may not want but must get it since they already prep the vehicles with the added features, this is totally wrong and not allowed, This causes customers that may not want to have the extra's on the vehicle into getting it and buying the auto. The Mangers talk you into something u don't want and look into a different cost and rates for you to Lease or buy. I would not recommed this dealer unless you want to be a victim of Highway Robbery.
