I really enjoyed working with Tom. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the car - so that now I not only liked it, I loved it - but he had just the right attitude to make me feel at home, abl extremely knowledgeable about the car - so that now I not only liked it, I loved it - but he had just the right attitude to make me feel at home, able to ask him what I really needed to know, and very patient with me as I made my decisions. Mine was a bit of a complicated sale, and he got me all the support I needed to get through the process as painlessly as possible. He clearly loves the dealership and all its component parts and made me feel part of the Brad Benson Family. I have to say this was the most fun and friendly dealership I have ever come to, and I have worked with a few different dealerships over the years. I feel like I know half the staff. So far so good. My experience with Manning was great. He is an exceptional salesman. He listens intently and then goes above and beyond to make sure that car he presents will meet with your highest expectations. He is extremely knowledgeable, good natured, and an all around great salesman. I would not hesitate to go to Manning again for my car needs. More
Just to be clear - their service department has always been helpful. But buying a new car... Purchased a car several years ago and was unhappy with the process. I was given a number, came back 2 days been helpful. But buying a new car... Purchased a car several years ago and was unhappy with the process. I was given a number, came back 2 days later and number had changed. And the car I wanted was not the same one they wanted to deal on, it had a different package. Argued with them as we were talking one of the sheets of paper that had the price and car I wanted was laying there. Proof of bait and switch. They did honor the price and I did get the car I wanted. They couldn't do anything else! Second experience was less than satisfactory. One car that I wanted was on their books, but on two different occasions could not find the car! Tried to sell one I didn't want. When I asked repeatedly to give me ball park figure on where we stood with pricing on two vehicles (the one missing and a new SUV) I was interested in buying, they gave me a piece of paper to sign that said "If we give you a fair price on vehicle will you take it home today". I wouldn't sign this (although I knew there was nothing to it), I was offended that they would even ask you to do this. After 3 encounters I still couldn't get a ballpark figure on where we stood. At one point I told him an approximate number of what I had been offered at the other dealer and he laughed and said no way. Too much time wasted, at least 5 hours if not more. Within several hours at another dealer, I got new SUV I wanted and at a even lower price than I had told them. Really disappointed in their process. Also note that there is so much noise in the showroom that it is hard to concentrate. Seems like twice or more the number of staff vs number of buyers. More

I fixed up my appointment after talking to them and gave them full details about what i am looking for. I was looking for CPO Hyundai Sonata with less than 30K miles. I was asked to come at 5:30 PM. When i went there - for around 10 minutes i couldn't found whom i need to meet. So i started talking to one of the sales person and told that i am having an appointment. He asked me about all my requirement(I was wondering what happened to the details i provided over the phone). Then he left to wait for some time to look for what he has. I have to wait for around 15 minutes. While taking me to the car lot - he asked some really not required questions - what is your budget - i told him cost is not a big factor - if i find a good car - i will pay for it....but it seems that guy got hung up for that question - asked me almost 5 times...really very irritating...i told him that let's look at the cars first...he started saying that he doesn't want to waste his time??? Then i told him that i have looked couple of other 2011 CPO Sonata and i know what price range they will be in. So let's get started....he took me to some cars - but some of them were not having the prices almost mentioned. So when i answered - no straight answers from him. Then once again he jumped on to his favorite question "what's your budget?'. This time i gave him the budget range...then he started blabbering a lot - it's not possible...why not you consider Elantra or leasing etc...I told him that i have been to another Hyundai dealer in NJ and i know what i am talking about...he then came back to his original statement "i don't want to waste my time"...i decided to leave now...then he wanted to come in and discuss other options...i declined as i dont wanted to do business with some dealer who have such a big mouth, arrogant, insensitive, pushy sales man who doesn't know how to deal with customers with some respect or dignity. I will suggest - look for other dealers and don't waste your time with this dealer. Route 22 North Plainfield Global Mall Hyundai dealer is much better...when i was leaving this sales man passed on another comment - we are the biggest Hyundai dealer and nobody can beat our cars and prices.... My wife and I had a great car buying experience with Manning. We found Manning to be very personable, and courteous. But even more important, we found Manning to be knowledgeable with the product line a Manning. We found Manning to be very personable, and courteous. Unlike most dealerships we've been to, Manning was able to negotiate our needs with the Business Manager, and he was able to close the deal to our satisfaction, without the need of the Business Manager coming over to explain the deal, or close it.
