We looked at several other vehicles at different dealerships and compared the features, reliability and warranties offered, and each time Hyundai came out on top. We contacted Diego directly, and they had the car we wanted, with all of the features we asked for, on the lot. We met at the dealership the same day, and they made the whole process as easy as possible, and we walked out with a brand new, fully loaded Sonata. More

Truecar participant Roseville Hyundai responded to our Truecar search, which is conveniently the closest dealer to us. We had time to do a survey of what car my wife was happiest with, and along with checking out half a dozen other brands/models, we ended up going to RH twice to check out cars before deciding--once just to see what the different colors really looked like. While they didn't want us leave empty-handed the first time (when I said we weren't at the buying stage yet), offering deals as we were leaving, the second a third visit was thankfully very casual. Each time we had specific cars we wanted to see and didn't take much time to gather the information and go. When we finally made a decision and it was down to color, our dealer did help us out with a slight upsell from what we had selected. Once he showed us the difference, we opted for the upgraded seats, interior, sunroof, etc., that was being offered at a bargain rate, and I'm really happy we spent a little more to get a lot more luxury. There was a somewhat lengthy wait while paperwork was being put together, but the financing experience went smooth, wasn't rushed, and we weren't pressured to add extra costs. The purchase agreement isn't a straightforward document, and the finance agent was patient as I got my head around what appeared to be different numbers than agreed. In the end I feel we got a great deal on the car--in fact we got more car for less than I expected, and my wife was very happy with the buying process. (When she bought her previous car by herself, the finance agent had badgered her to add clear-coat paint until she walked out in tears....) Truecar is the best price that can be got for a new car that I found. And we spent a couple weeks trying all the angles. Tried Costco too, and their best price was still nearly a grand over the average found through Truecar. More
