After 2 months of looking, Ron Tonkin had the right vehicle! My partner and I have been looking for a new tow vehicle for our pop-up tent and our utility trailer. Not interested in a pick-up truck, but hoped to find a mid-size SUV or mini-van with a 6-cylinder engine and sufficient horsepower. Narrowed my search to Fords, Hyundai's and Kia's. Having been very happy for the past couple years with my 2016 Kia Optima EX, I kept noticing ads and listings pop up in my online searches from Ron Tonkin Kia in Gladstone. This last weekend, I felt like I stumbled on the vehicle of my dreams on their website. Sent a message late Sat. night checking on the availability, and heard back from Steve Kaney the next day -- ON A SUNDAY! We arranged for me to drive up north an hour the next day for a test drive, and I drove back home Monday afternoon with just the right vehicle -- a fully loaded late model Kia Sedona SX. Now, I was a bit disappointed with the trade-in value offered for my Optima, and the original pitch to get extended warranty coverage was nearly double what I was ultimately offered. However, all in all, I was quite pleased with my car-buying experience at Ron Tonkin. This marked my first vehicle purchase in the Portland Metro area, as I reside in the mid-Willamette Valley.
