2 weeks ago my service engine light came on, so I called and made an appt for today 3/26/2024. While I was on my way there they called and tried to get me to make another appointment cause they said they we and made an appt for today 3/26/2024. While I was on my way there they called and tried to get me to make another appointment cause they said they were behind and short staffed which I have been hearing this same thing everytime I have an appt for the past 3 years.. I told them I was going to come anyway cause this is nothing to keep putting off. So here is how my day went. Do not ever buy a Jeep especially from here. I have been here since 10am and will be here till around 4pm..I bought my jeep brand new in 2018 and have had nothing but problems with it . It only has 45,000 miles on it but there's something wrong with it all the time. I chose to buy new so i wouldnt have used vehicle issue but i have had problems since about 2 months after i purchased it and have had it 5yrs and still owe on it. Most of the miles on it is from having to bring it here all the time for something.. Having it 5yr and only 45,000 miles on it shows it hasn't been drove alot at all.. Today its a bad thermostat and will take 3hrs to fix it and i have to wait and they don't have any loaner vehicles they are all loaned out. Plus manufacturers warranty ran out after 3yrs and I did purchase an extended warranty that's suppose to pay anything over my $100 deductible but thats a joke also..the cost of this repair is around $1200.00 and even with the extended warranty they have limits on what they pay for labor and they don't pay for replacing fluids so I will be out of pocket around $500 plus will be here till probably 4pm.. I will never ever do business here again nor will I ever own another Jeep. To top it off the service manager calls me after I get home and after 6yrs of taking my jeep there for different issues he proceeds to tell me he thinks I need to start taking my jeep to another dealerships and not there. In other words don't come back here for service. More
Rocky Top Jeep service department was good in the beginning of me taking my 2020 Jeep Wrangler there. They replaced the steering box and said that would fix my problem. After driving it for a little while the problem was still there. I took it back and the service advisor Triston Asia’s it was the steering stabilizer and he ordered one. In the two months it took to get it I had to bring it back for the same issue and they did some kind of recalibration on the steering which didn’t fix the issue after driving it for a while. The stabilizer finally came in and they installed it in which this did not fix the issue. Triston kept telling me to fix the issue get a Fox brand one. I got fed up and called my local dealer in town, Farris CJDR to set up an alignment thinking that might be the issue. After a few months the issue was still there. So after the Jeep developed an oil leak I made another appointment. When I took it in for the appointment, I was showing the service advisor where I thought it was leaking from. While he was closing the hood he discovered that all four shocks were bad. So far this has fixed the issue I have been having. The last time I was at Rocky Top they told me there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. Will I be going back to Rocky Top, the answer is no! More
Well I wasn’t going to say anything and just never come back but since you asked, I had my van towed to rocky top 7/20 and was told they’d take a look at it the next morning 7/21. It wasn’t even looked at until 7/28 (I’m just glad I had a backup vehicle)! This is after contacting them two times and supposedly putting a rush on it. They flashed the TCM and took care of the problem and the problems that I’ve been complaining about since I brought it home brand new. Hard shifting and a rattle going uphill. All they’d say was “we can’t find anything wrong but it’s documented”. I even got “well nobody is happy with the 9 speed transmission” from their mechanic about 2 years ago. Seems this could have been fixed a long time ago when it was still under warranty instead of now and $200 later because the extended warranty doesn’t cover it. I have had so many problems with this van over the years that I am in the market to buy a new vehicle now, it was a toss up between a new Pacifica, jeep, or something else. After this last ordeal it’s going to be something else! I have been doing business with Rocky Top for many years but was the last straw for me, I be been soured from buying ANY Chrysler products in the future. I will advise anyone against going there. I’m not only putting this post on the review I’m also sending this to Chrysler! NEVER COMING BACK! More
While driving from Louisville, KY to Charleston, SC I had an unusual and unexpected situation. My whole rear strut had completely come out of place which in result rubbed against my tire the whole time I was an unusual and unexpected situation. My whole rear strut had completely come out of place which in result rubbed against my tire the whole time I was driving wearing the side wall almost to the point of a blow out as well as busting my rear shock. Luckily on that day, the exit I got off on was right next to Rocky Top. These Men and Women who work here showed me the BEST customer service I had ever experienced in any business. They definitely set the standard for taking care of a customer within 1 business day they were able to track down the parts needed to replace my strut. And luckily I was able to find the tire I needed. The whole team was exceptionally helpful but I would like to extend my appreciation to the Service Manager Doug, Dan, and the Mechanic who worked on my vehicle Kaden. They truly made my time here easier as I was definitely going through a rough and challenging experience, but their kindness and professionalism definitely made a bad situation better. I was able to get on the road and safely make it back home. I will forever be grateful I met these individuals! And If for some reason I am ever in Sevierville I will definitely stop by. More

I had just filled my gas tank, so it was very heaving and was only secured by the back strap. The front of the tank was hanging down, just barely off the ground. We had to call AAA to have the truck towed. Fortunately, we broke down near a Jeep rental facility so we were able to rent a Jeep. Talk about bad luck and good luck at the same time late on a Sunday afternoon! We needed a four-wheel drive vehicle to get back to our rental cabin which was located on top of a mountain. The truck was towed to the nearest Dodge dealer in Kodak, which was Rocky Top Dodge. The following morning, I called Rocky Top Dodge and spoke to a Dodge Service Rep. who stated he could not get to my truck since they were very busy this week. I told him I was on vacation and was scheduled to leave on Saturday and was hoping there was something he could do to get the truck fixed. I am basically stuck. He said to call back, he was going to have someone look at the issue. I called back and he proceeded to tell me they could not fix the problem. He stated the gas tank straps needed to be welded and they did not do that type of work. I said what? You’re a Dodge dealer. I said “how can you not fix the problem. The strap on the gas tank is broken. Dodge can’t fix that? I think the service rep name was Triston. I asked him if he knew of anybody to do that type of work, and he stated "no he didn't". I hung up and called Harper Dodge. The Dodge Truck Service Rep. by the name of Tyler asked what the problem was. I proceeded to tell him the issue with the gas tank and that the vehicle was currently at Rocky Top Dodge and that they could not fix it. Tyler asked some background questions and then asked for my VIN. He then proceeded to tell me that Dodge had extended the warranty relating to the gas tank straps and that they could fix it. I had the truck taken from Rocky Top Dodge to Harper Dodge and they fixed it the next day. Amazing how Harper Dodge could fix the problem and Rocky Top Dodge could not. If I lived down that way, I know I would be taking all my Dodge vehicles to Harper Dodge for service. As far as Rocky Top Dodge, they are terrible. Bottom line is, Rocky Top did not want to deal with someone from out of town. I will let Dodge Corporate know that. Rocky Top Dodge is worthless!!!! Again, thanks to Harper Dodge and their wonderful customer service rep. Tyler and staff. More
This is he worst dealership I have dealt with in 40 years of buying vehicles. I went in to trade vehicles and we come up with a price and I told them I didn't need their financing that I would be using my mo of buying vehicles. After the deal was done and I had the truck in my pocession at approximately 5 am my Equifax alert went off and upon viewing it saw the dealership had ran my credit I was furious and I have contacted them over one dozen times the General Manager said he would get it removed from my credit and also told me three times that he would call me which he has never done. I have called the owner three times to be told he would call me back and I have never heard from him either...The Owner and the General Manager and the Finance guy are nothing but liars...stay away from this dealership and go somewhere reputable. More
When my truck odometer turned 37,000 miles the check engine light came on. We took it in to have it checked and there was nothing wrong they just needed to update the computer. We bought this truck new from them, but I guess they needed the $175 more than me returning as a customer. More
I am tourist 800 miles from home and a problem with my Pacifica put me in a real jam. Great experience we had a flat on my 1500 Ram while on vacation from Charleston SC they fixed my tire and mounted it back on my truck while we waited in their very nice waiting room and the did not charg vacation from Charleston SC they fixed my tire and mounted it back on my truck while we waited in their very nice waiting room and the did not charge me for the work. Buyer beware. Bought a new Jeep. They collected over $1400 in sales taxes ,tag, title and administrative fees. For this fee, they assured me I was paying all the sales taxes and they would handle filing $1400 in sales taxes ,tag, title and administrative fees. For this fee, they assured me I was paying all the sales taxes and they would handle filing for the title. I verified this several times to be sure I wasn't going to get stuck with other bill. One week later, they send me all the title work in the mail and told me I needed to go immediately and file for the new title. I called my salesman who never returned my call. Dealer collected $1400 for admin, tax, tag and title, only sent me a check for $657.00 to get it titled, state charged me $803. Dealer refused to refund me the $146.00 difference I had already paid them. If you believe you paid for the car with these guys when you write the check and leave- I found out you haven't. Please don't reward this dealership for such bad behavior and risk having to pay hundreds more for the car after you leave. More
