Y'all- I killed my minivan in an accident. It was time to move to a mid-size SUV. I was pretty sure I would just go with the Honda CRV, but let me tell you a little story about my best frie It was time to move to a mid-size SUV. I was pretty sure I would just go with the Honda CRV, but let me tell you a little story about my best friend at Toyota, Alex Davidivici: I reached out to him to ask his advice around this style of car, and he CALLED me back within about 90 seconds to *ask me if I was ok* after my accident. Y'all it was 8 in the morning. Does YOUR auto mechanic best friend check on you?! Well mine does. Anywho- the idea of having to do the whole "dealership new car dance" made me want to die, but Alex put me in touch with Demarius Henderson, and promised he would not pressure me- he would just give me information. Demarius lived up to the promise, and could not have been more chill and easy going. He introduced me to Justice Gonzales and the two of them took me through all the reasons to consider the Rav4 instead of the Honda CRV (compelling.) Special shout out to Justice- who took at least 3 different test drives with me, and answered all of my endless questions. I LOVED how the car drove but was really having a hard time deciding on what to prioritize with my money (hybrid versus gas, pre-owned versus new, etc) and everyone was so helpful in explaining the key differences. Bryan Garcia (who is quite possibly the NICEST person I've every met in a car dealership) came in to help talk about pricing and financing options. And friends, this very long review (TED Talk) does not end here- because I walked away that day Couldn't pull the trigger on that visit but went home and did my own research. Again- no one pressured me at all. A coupled of days later, I got a call from Demarius, and I told him exactly what I wanted and what I could afford. Later that day....maybe the next day?- Bryan called and said he had found something I might love. Ok. And here is where I will cut to the end and tell you that I am so in love with my new Black Toyota Rav4, AND I feel like I paid a fair price for it! What more can you ask for?! Vu in financing also went over my warranty options with me, and I didn't think I would but I did in fact opt for the least expensive extended option and I'm glad I did. To tie this with a (thank god not giant car sized bow- but I did get a very special song played on the loud speaker)- Alyssa Glover went over all of my car's features and operating instructions, got me set up on the app, and just generally was an absolute delight. This was a five star car buying experience. Thank you so much, Alex, Demarius, Justice, Bryan, Ayssa, and Vu!! I will toast you when I make my first car payment! ;) More
