Predatory pricing on repairs Hendricks Sandy Springs Toyota deleted my earlier review. I"M BACK ! Avoid Hendricks Toyota in Sandy Springs ! I took my Toyota pickup in for a f Hendricks Sandy Springs Toyota deleted my earlier review. I"M BACK ! Avoid Hendricks Toyota in Sandy Springs ! I took my Toyota pickup in for a fuel pump. Their quote: Fuel pump- $600, plus $822 for 6 hours labor = total $1,422. Nicole Delaigle, Toyota's Service advisor, told me, "I should also have two engine seals replaced or my vehicle could catch on fire." She quoted an additional $2,255. GRAND TOTAL $3,677 In disgust, I paid another towing company to retow my pickup to a different auto repair service. They quoted me $475 for the fuel pump and only $157.50 for 1 1/2 hours labor. GRAND TOTAL $632.50 I saved $3,044.50 by leaving Toyota and having the work done by an honest repair shop They confirmed, "there was no problem with engine seals." The owner rolled his eyes and laughed when I told him Toyota claimed my pickup could catch fire if I didn't have them replace the 2 engine seals. Mike Rodriguez, Service Director at Hendrick's Toyota of Sandy Springs, in response to my complaint re: outrageous parts markups, (over 100% and labor times grossly inflated. They quoted me 6 hours - (actually took only 1 1/2 hours). Mr. Rodriguez essentially told me I should have expected such treatment at Toyota dealerships; inferring I was a dope for expecting fair and honest treatment from them. Following a diligent and prolonged demand for a refund for shoddy treatment at Hendrick's Sandy Springs Toyota, Mike Rodriguez relented and agree to refund the $171.83 wasted with Sandy Springs Toyota. Don't be fooled by their professional appearance and charming demeanor. Their pricing on vehicle repairs is predatory and ruthless. Why would they treat you with more respect than they did me ? More
