Long Story Short: Wal-Mart on Black Friday has better service than this place. Business must be awesome for them. Most dealership that I have been to, unless it is a high end dealer (BMW, Infiniti, Ben service than this place. Business must be awesome for them. Most dealership that I have been to, unless it is a high end dealer (BMW, Infiniti, Benz, etc) , show interest in earning your business. That did not seem the case here. I read other reviews saying they were high pressure. I want to do business with someone who wants to make a deal happen. I actually like those dealerships as there is typically a little more motivation to make a deal happen and will get creative unlike other dealers that are what you see is what you get. Having a sales background, I enjoy the "Art of the sale" regardless what side you are on. Over the weekend, I located a vehicle that I was interested in and I requested more information from their website. 48 hours, I got no response. So I went back online and "made and offer". I also communicated that I would be in the area the following day and would like to look at the vehicle. The following day, I still had not received any response. Since I was close by, I just went to the dealer thinking that a sales person might be able to help me. I parked right in front of the building and noticed a sales guy walking back in the building and another standing in front on his cell phone off to the side. Neither acknowledged me so I just decided to "Browse" the lot. 15 minutes of just walking with no one insight except for Mr. Talksalot, I went back to my car, just stood there checking facebook on my phone for another minute or two. No one came out. I decided I would just leave since I did not even see the vehicle I was looking for. Apparently they did not want a sale. I really wish I could make the next part up. I am not even out of the lot and my phone rings. It is Rick Hendrick Chevrolet following up on my inquiry. (3 days later, really?) She then proceeded to ask me a bunch of standard sales qualifying questions rather than even acknowledge my inquiry. I told her I was interested in a specific vehicle and asked if she confirm if they had it. She told me she did not have an inventory list available (Really?). I then said that I was actually at the dealership and asked if she was there and then we could just talk in person. Apparently the dealership does not follow up. A Call Center does out of south Georgia does. (Really?) She asked if I would go back to the dealership and she will contact a manager and have someone out in 5 minutes. I pulled back into my parking spot in the front and got out and waited for another 10 minutes, no response. So I decided to leave (Did I mention that the sales guy was still on his phone). I gave them more than ample opportunities just to "respond" and help. I'm actually glad that I did not pursue it any further. If this is the "service" that you get prior to the sale, imagine how bad it would be after the sale. I get better service at big box stores. After looking at consistent negative reviews, and after my experience, it will have to snow at the equator before I would even go back or even suggest this dealership. More
Let me start by saying that we are from Michigan and were only helping our son (26) get his first car. When he got to the dealership for his appointment he was allowed to test drive the car. While he was sig only helping our son (26) get his first car. When he got to the dealership for his appointment he was allowed to test drive the car. While he was signing the paperwork another couple took the car for a test drive and were sold the car. So, the dealership told him that they had another car like he was looking for at another dealership. He agreed to come back and see it when it arrived. They took his trade in and gave him a rental. The car was suppose to arrive in a few days. They had my son sign all the papers and we were to be his co-signer. The papers were mail to us and after looking them over we saw a few errors and called to question the dealership. Just a reminder my son had not even seen the car yet. When we refused to sign the papers before he had seen the car they were outraged. So, we went looking for the same make and model here in Michigan. Figuring we could do the deal from here and drive it down to our son. We found a car with less miles on it for over $1000 less. When we talk to our son about this he went to the dealership and wanted the money he had given them down back. Not a small amount of cash but $2600. They then told him the car was now there and they would keep his money if he did not take the car. At this point new papers were sent to us and they had nothing sign sent back to them. Being out of state we really didn’t have any recourse but to let the deal go thru. The next day he was given a chance to see the car and noticed that the back bumper had damage. They said they would repair it and the car would be ready the next day. Finally, he gets his new car and drives off. This was over a month ago. He has not received any paperwork including his registration, plate NOTHING... Now, we in Michigan have received the payment coupon but still no paperwork. We call the dealership and ask about it a week ago. "Oh it is still sitting on our desk" we will take care of it and sent it out. We don’t want the registration and plate; that should be going to our son in Georgia. 3 more calls today and we are told that it is all straightened out. Guess we will have to wait and see. More
I have read a lot of reviews on why this dealership is dishonest, and while I completely agree, I think the overriding fact is that they are also absolute idiots. The guy that I dealt with literally was dishonest, and while I completely agree, I think the overriding fact is that they are also absolute idiots. The guy that I dealt with literally was the stupidest person I have met in the last five years. It took me TWO hours for them to tell me if they have a Tahoe with 4x4 in black with nav and a light color interior. After TWO hours, they had a car brought over from their other sales yard that fit my description less the items that I told them were necessary, I.e. nav, 4x4, light interior. The salesman didn't even know where the navigation system was supposed to be located in the car......yes, I said that right. (Or how to tell if it was 4x4). The used car sales manager was rude and extremely confrontational in the middle of the dealership. Highly do not recommend this dealership. If I had this much trouble trying to buy a new $60k car, I could only imagine what their service department would be like. Stay away!!!!! More
Started on a Monday evening. We were looking at a 2012 Mid sized SUV, Equinox, We were attracted to this dealer because of there advertising of getting people with low credit scores great rates with low m Mid sized SUV, Equinox, We were attracted to this dealer because of there advertising of getting people with low credit scores great rates with low money down. We fell in to that trap. After spending a hour or so filling out all the credit info and the sales person looking over our trade in we were told that we could not be approved. Now we are first time buyers but I had a credit score over 700 and my wife the same, we needed a co singer. After running our cosigner and us together they said "congrats we have got you approved for a 2012 Malibu. We told them that we were looking at a Equinox, and that a Malibu was a waste of our time. They pretty much forced us to test drive the Mailbu, and after we told them no, it seemed to xxxx of the Sales guy. Another hour goes by and they find us a stripped down 4 cyl Equinox. Now granted the vehicle we were trading in was a 2000 but it had leather sun roof and every option you can get in 2000. Why would i look at a base model car when i drive a LUX version of what i already have. We gave them our monthly payments, and our terms of the sale, $350 a month for 72 months $3k down, on a $24 car, should be doable. We negotiated all night till i finally asked for the order from the bank. I wanted to see the approval sheet from the bank with the rate, and terms for 72 months. Mr Carson said i quote "Do you really need to see that to sign this deal"? xxxx yes I do. Come to find out they had us approved at 1.9% all night and were trying to re-sell my wife and I the rate back at 2-4% higher. After that I asked for my title back on my trade, which has a NADA trade value of $3500 which they offerd $200 to take care of my "problem". I was told that I needed them because no one else would approve me and that they were the only ones who could get me in a new car. Wrong, some one else got me in a new car. The worst part is that they shopped me arround, placing my Credit infront of 44 different lenders, this is not a GOOD THING. I have a open case with the BBB and all three Credit Company's against this dealer. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. They were pushy and rude, will take advantage of younger (25) and new buyers. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. GO TO CARMAX!! They might not negotiate but they are friendly and to the point. Rick Hendricks makes their money off of Screwing people into cars. Glad i am not in bed with that for the next 6 years! More
Total waste of time. They make you wait for hours. They price the car higher than MSRP and their internet salesperson just lures you to come to the store. They say they would beat other dealers price but c price the car higher than MSRP and their internet salesperson just lures you to come to the store. This was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had with a dealership. We were lied to and treated like we were idiots. He made very sarcastic and condescending comments right in front of us. Basically with a dealership. We were lied to and treated like we were idiots. He made very sarcastic and condescending comments right in front of us. Basically told us we were idiots. Pushy does not even begin to describe it. I felt like I was being bullied into purchasing a vehicle I didnt even really like. We were lied to about pricing on two vehicles. They would not budge on price on the truck my husband was interested in and the next day, the very same truck (a used truck by the way) was listed on their website for $5,000 LESS! When we initially inquired about a truck, we were told it was already sold by their dealership in Alabama, but it was still listed on the website several days after that. We were told a vehicle was a certain price, but showed up on their website for $2,000 LESS. They cant even get that right. By no means will we ever go back to this dealership nor will we refer anyone there. We are letting everyone we know about this terrible experience. They wasted 5 1/2 hours of our time in 2 days. Dont waste your time going in there. There are plenty of other dealerships around. Despite what they try to make you think, you can do business elsewhere. And get treated with respect!!! More

Bait-and-Switch at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Duluth, GA Everything I am writing here is truthful, and is not embellished or exaggerated. I saved a copy of each web site to my personal computer. After f Everything I am writing here is truthful, and is not embellished or exaggerated. I saved a copy of each web site to my personal computer. After finding a "web special" and setting an appointment, the salesman said it was sold and tried to up-sale me on a van nearly $3000 more. After several suspicious events (too many to describe here), I called the dealer back that same day and was again told the van was still for sale. For over two weeks after my visit, this "bait" van was still on their web site. At LEAST 4-5 people were conspiring in this Bait-And-Switch scheme. Summary - 1) The web site intentionally had a misleading van for sale located over 600 miles away. 2) The phone reservation lady lied to me twice about the van being on the lot. She might have been told the wrong information OR her computer was not updated. Either way, her story that she told to me changed. 3) The salesman lied to me in person at least three times. a) The car was sold, b) he walked past it yesterday, c) it is being shipped to Texas. 4) The finance manager conspired with the salesman in the lie about the van being sold. 5) The Texas salesman verified my suspicion that the van was NEVER in GA since it NEVER left Texas. 6) The Duluth dealership should make this right if they really have integrity as their web site says. 7) The Bait-And-Switch conspiracy continued at least two more weeks. If you want the full details, email me for the full story. junoflydog(at)aol(dot)com I will NEVER trust this deceptive dealership. More
Very, very, very pushy. I came in with an exact idea of what I wanted to look at and wanted to test drive 2 cars. It took them 2 hours to let me test drive 2 cars. Even then, neither was what I wanted to d what I wanted to look at and wanted to test drive 2 cars. It took them 2 hours to let me test drive 2 cars. Even then, neither was what I wanted to drive! Instead of a 2011 Cruze, they gave me a 2012 Cruze with different features to test drive. Then the BIG one...instead of a base model 2012 or 2011 Malibu, they "COULD NOT FIND" any of these so they would only let me drive a fully loaded Eco drive 2013 Malibu. Nothing is the same about that car! Not the engine, not the features, the seats....nothing. So I have no idea of what the car I actually want drives like. They only wanted to introduce me to 4 salesmen, pass me back and forth, try to get me to spend money, and upsell their stupid dealer add-ons like $500 security systems, $300 tinted windows, and $200 door guards. NEVER going back and will not purchase there. More

They refused to listen to what I wanted to purchase and instead kept attempting to upsell features I specifically stated I did not want. He became very angry when his terrible examples of why I should pay $10k more for a vehicle were thrown back in his face, as they were fabricated theory he was making up on the fly since he couldn't be pushy anymore. I won't go back again. More
