False Advertising - BAIT AND SWITCH!!! So, I contacted Rick Hendrick BMW in Charleston which is 97 miles from my home because I had a bad experience at the BMW dealership near me. Where I h So, I contacted Rick Hendrick BMW in Charleston which is 97 miles from my home because I had a bad experience at the BMW dealership near me. Where I had purchased two vehicles from previously. The Sales person that I was given was Terry Bacon. I told him about the experience I had and he assured me that this would not happen with them. I told him also that I was already financed through BMW financial and wanted to keep it that way. Including what I was willing to spend and we agreed. We discussed a few cars and he came back with one that I loved and wanted. It was a courtesy car with low miles with all the options I wanted and more. He send me pics through text message and I let him know that I wanted this car. He then ran my credit and text me that the car was going to be $499.82 a month for three year lease with $1000.00 down. I again agreed to this and made the appointment to come pick the car up on Monday at 9:00am. I get to the dealership, and no car. I was like ok so where is it, he then says i really don't know lol I'm now furious!! He then tells me that the car was loaned out to a doctor and they have no idea when it's coming back. He then tells me I have something else that would work and we test drove the car and I came back and he said it's gonna be $650.00 a month. I said this was not what we agreed to so I said no way! At this point I Smelled a BAIT AND SWITCH!! I'm getting ready to leave after driving two hours away for a car I was Promised and NO CAR!!! I said NO again I want the car we talked about, he goes and speaks with the finance Manager EMILY GRUBISICH comes back and now says that the car has too many miles to lease to me. I told her then to find me a car for that price and she said she didn't have anything. I look at the website and there are at least 921 cars available but she can't find one. Which as of now the car still shows available on the website. So now i'm done with everything after I have a Hard hit on my credit that I asked EMILY GRUBISICH about and she gave me an attitude after I asked her twice. Whats gonna happen to my credit report. That I wanted them to contact the credit agencies and get it off she rolled her eyes and told me to contact them myself. I would never have had them run my credit if I wasn't going to actually buy a car. This would have been my third BMW through BMW financial so I know I was approved. I then walk into her office which she was surprised to see me and I asked for her business card, she then rollers her eyes again and throws it crossed he desk. I really can't believe that I waisted 7 hours to go and purchase a car and have nothing.. This is the information about the car. He even arranged for us to have a 2017 X1 loaner...a vehicle we're considering for our next BMW. There was a cabin filter on order that took a little longer to arrive than anticipated. Kirk phoned us in the morning and evening with updates just to make sure we were kept in the loop. That's the type of service you can expect from a Center of Excellence Dealer such as Rick Hendrick BMW. More

Bad Customer Service Our family enjoys three BMW's, one for my wife, and one for each daughter. I mention this to assist you with my understanding of servicing BMW vehicle Our family enjoys three BMW's, one for my wife, and one for each daughter. I mention this to assist you with my understanding of servicing BMW vehicles over the last decade. Our daughter attends the College of Charleston and needed new shocks and some cosmetic items replaced in the interior. She went to Rick Hendrick BMW to assess the repairs with their service technician named Ed Ward, order any parts needed, and then set an appointment for installation upon the arrival of the parts so it would be a one-day service appointment. The day of the appointment, the car was dropped of first thing in the morning and by 1pm we had not heard a status so I called Ed. There was no return call so knowing the service department would be closing in a few hours, I called Ed again at 2pm. Still no return call so I tried Frank, the service manager, however I was simply placed on hold whereby no one answered and no one returned to me on hold. At 3pm I heard from Frank. He informed me that the cosmetic items were done in the morning however they have been assessing the car for additional items to repair for $2K-$3K, including the shocks previously discussed and ordered a week prior. At this time, Ed informed me that he would need to order the shocks, which we thought we have previous ordered a week earlier when we were at the dealership, and that he would need to hold the vehicle for another 2 business days at a minimum. I let Ed know my frustration and that this was not acceptable, and asked that he simply make the vehicle ready for pick up and that we would pay for the cosmetic repairs and have the mechanical repairs performed by Bimmer, a BMW service company that does excellent work and performs timely, and as requested. Ed's response, "sounds good, have a good day". Wow! When I purchase a vehicle, I purchase it from a dealership based on their ability to service the vehicle. With this in mind, I can not recommend Rick Hendrick BMW to anyone, and frankly, I would highly discourage it. More
