I approached the new car market with a bit of trepidation, for I have had many unpleasant car buying experiences in the past. I knew that I wanted a Honda, and I chose Rick Case Honda per the exc trepidation, for I have had many unpleasant car buying experiences in the past. I knew that I wanted a Honda, and I chose Rick Case Honda per the excellent reviews I read online. From the moment I walked into Rick Case, I felt very comfortable. Leo, my salesman, greeted me with a sincere handshake and smile. He spent a great deal of time working with me to discuss the various elements of each Honda model and allowed me to decide for myself which one was ideal for me. I spent hours with him until I decided which one I wanted, and yet he remained far more patient than I could ever expect someone to remain. He would have been equally happy to sell me a car that cost half as much, so long as it was the one I most desired. Never once did he ask me what I did for a living, nor did he attempt any of the standard and highly annoying sales techniques such as trial closing, loaded questions, or cornering . Leo is a real, genuine class act. He understands that the car will sell itself, and that people need to be as comfortable as possible when making a buying decision. This has easily been the most pleasant car buying experience I've ever had! Mike, a gentleman working in the finance department, is a perfect compliment to Leo as well as the very positive regard I hold for Rick Case Honda. Even though he was extremely busy that day with other sales, he too spent a good deal of time with me answering any and all of my questions. I really did not plan on purchasing a car when I walked into the dealership. I knew what kind of vehicle I wanted, and did not think it could be found. I walked into the dealership passed about 13 gentlemen and not one greeted me! Note: I am a very successful 26 year old, and was dressed for the beach! I was finally greeted by a kind young gentleman by the name of Edward, (Edward was fired the day after he sold me the car). I told Edward that I wanted to see the new Honda CR-Z, (for my wife). Looked at the car, test drove it, then went back to the desk to work numbers. We were working numbers and I told him that I would sign if we knocked $2K of the sticker, so he went to the manager and asked, subsequently the manger came over greeted me and said that he would not be able to discount anything on the car. He said MAYBE 100 or two. So what I did was I got up and left the dealership. I had received a phone call from Edward and he told me that another manager was there and I could come and talk to this guy if I wanted to work a deal. So I dressed accordingly, got my check book, hoped in my Corvette and drove back to the dealership and parked right in front. I said lets make this deal work. We finally meet somewhere with the price and I bought the car on the spot. Bottom line is I was discriminated of my age, and appearance. If it would not have been for Edward calling me back I would have purchased from a different dealership. Manager was very rude. More
