This was my first time actually purchasing a vehicle from a dealership. Adel, Dan, and Yousaf made it such a great experience. It took several visits and back and forth on my end before deciding to purchase, plus, I was able to get a great price for my trade in vehicle to put towards my purchase. I have never had a positive view of purchasing cars from a dealership because of the stories heard from other people about how they felt pressured, how they felt they did not get the best price, the sleazy car salesman stereotype, etc. My experience at Richmond BMW has shown me that you can have a pleasant experience buying a car and there are salespeople out there that genuinely want to see you get what you want and care that you are happy with your purchase. During my multiple visits, I had to bring my young kids with me, (ages: 9, 6, 2) and the guys I worked with were awesome with them and made them feel welcomed as well, engaging them in conversation, even helping to keep them occupied during the various wait times. Overall, I cannot say enough about how great the guys were and I am really glad that I bought my vehicle from Richmond BMW. If you want to feel like you are respected as a consumer and work with friendly and transparent salespeople, definitely go to Richmond BMW, you will not regret it!! More

We have just purchased our second Mini Countryman and I wouldn't drive any other car, or purchase it from anyone other than Anja. My husband selected Steve Lerner to be his partner in crime in selecting my surprise Christmas gift. They did an outstanding job of keeping the secret. I spoke with Steve on the phone post Christmas to set up my appointment to learn about my beautiful car. He was so kind, and beyond accommodating. Today we met with Steve and he was a joy to work with. His personality, knowledge of these beautiful driving machines, and customer care is over the top. Anja Heyne made purchasing our new Mini Cooper Roadster one of our best purchase experiences ever! We went in to 'just look' and Anja was extremely helpful. She answered all of our (many, many, many) que one of our best purchase experiences ever! We went in to 'just look' and Anja was extremely helpful. She answered all of our (many, many, many) questions, let us go for a test drive (we did several to compare the different ones we were interested in) and gave us space to talk things over. She did not lurk, but was available and eager to help us with our questions when we needed her. When it came time to get into the details, she was incredibly patient and incredibly knowledgeable. We ended up ordering our MINI, and Anja went through every detail several times to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. She knew the ins and outs of ordering and we were able to get our custom MINI just how we wanted it. When we picked it up, she explained everything about our new car and was full of information and tips. Now, several months afterwards, Anja still is a great resource when we have a question, and she continues to check in once in awhile to make sure we are still happy - which we absolutely are! I highly recommend Anja to anyone even just thinking about a MINI. She is wonderful. We are also very happy with the dealership as well. Crown MINI service has been great - very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the New Owner's clinic they offer every several months, as this was very informative if you are new to MINI like we were. I MET ANJA IN THE AFTERNOON AT THE DEALERSHIP AND SHE SUGGESTED THAT I COME FOR A TEST DRIVE THE FOLLOWING MO AND FINALLY DECIDED TO PURCHASE A MINI. I MET ANJA IN THE AFTERNOON AT THE DEALERSHIP AND SHE SUGGESTED THAT I COME FOR A TEST DRIVE THE FOLLOWING MORNING - WHICH I DID. SHE WAS SO ENGAGING AND KNOWLEGEABLE ABOUT HER PRODUCT AND THE TEST DRIVE WAS THOROUGH AND FUN!! I LOVED THE MINI, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, I TRUSTED HER AND FELT COMPLETELY COMFORTABLE WITH THE DECISION I WAS ABOUT TO MAKE. THE ENTIRE PURCHASING PROCESS WAS EASY AND STRESS FREE THANKS TO ANJA'S EXPERTISE. THE FOLLOW-UP AFTER PURCHASE IS EXCELLENT AND I HAVE NOT FELT PRESSURED WHATSOEVER. We started our search for a car at Richmond BMW since we love our 2004 325i. We asked to see Steve Lerner since we knew his wife. He didn't even bother to ask how we knew her. ALL he wanted to do was give us his pitch. We told him we wanted to get a car about a year old because our budget was $30k. He then told us the new cars were such a deal that it would hardly cost us more for a brand new one. He then gave us an example of a brand new "bargain" on his computer and the price was $44k. When we reminded him were needed to stay in the $30k range he said that was not a good example but they had them. As we sat at his desk giving each other the "this guy is clueless look" he actually said in a loud exasperated voice "you are not listening to me". Sales 101 Steve: listen to the customer! When we finally got him to pick a car we were interested in test driving, he actually lied to us and said it was Virginia state law that he had to drive the car off the lot! After driving to a parking lot in a shopping center, we all had to change seats. He made my husband sit in the back seat and he rode in the front and I drove. Idk if that is a BMW rule, or just that dealers rule but whoever came up with that can shove it. I bought a new car from them and have had them service it for 9 years and they treat us like we might try to run of with it while leaving our dad, kid and car there? We went to 4 other VA car dealers and they all let us test drive cars alone, dare I say they even let us drive off the lot ourselves! In addition, the building seemed cramped and outdated. It was a Saturday and they had run out of paper towels in the ladies room and the water cooler was out of cups. This may seem petty but sometimes it's the little things that make one feel better about writing a five figure check. Even if it's only 30,000, not $44,000. I hadn't noticed how crappy the place was getting since I had lately just been in for service. I guess they blew their showroom budget when they crammed the Mini store in the space as well a while ago. Every other dealer we went to had bottles of water, kurig and cold sodas, and instead of us having to go to look, we were actually offered us something to drink before we even were invited to sit down. So we did not buy another BMW. We got a fully loaded new MazdaCX5 instead and if we had our heart set on another BMW we would have NEVER let Steve Lerner sell it to us. More
