My recent BMW X7 purchase was truly remarkable. In fact, just yesterday I participated in the Performance Center Delivery at BMW’s awesome Spartanburg, South Carolina facility. Steven has immense experience with this program, and he walked me through the process with confidence and enthusiasm. Every step was truly delightful and invigorating – From the careful ordering of my very individualized X7, to tracking the build progress (remarkably just a few weeks to build!) – to orchestrating the logistics of my trade turn in, paperwork and then the blissful arrival at the Performance Center for a most unique experience. The full day consisted of classroom learning about driving dynamics, seat time in a similar X7 for braking, handling, autocross and off-road instructed sessions and then an amazing tour of the assembly line. Finally, a comprehensive private introduction to my new baby by a very intelligent and patient BMW genius. What a blast! Every BMW owner would truly benefit from this experience and have a more thorough understanding of their car, and a valuable education about why a BMW, with its unparalleled engineering and capabilities, is unlike any other vehicle on the road. Certainly, the most heartwarming part of these past two days was Steve calling me this late afternoon, just after I drove home from the BMW Performance Center, just to say hello and ask me all about my Performance Center experience and if I was loving my new BMW and if I had any questions. I have purchased many cars over many years from many dealerships and I can unequivocally state that Steven Lerner and his colleagues at Richmond BMW are the most special and outstanding people I have ever met.
