We assisted this customer on a number of occasions over the years, but due to the fact that he was continually belligerent to our staff we had to formally request that he no longer visit our location. Richard Chevrolet responded

Customer brought his vehicle in for service of his air conditioning and an engine light illumination. Service was able to diagnose and fix the engine light concern but was still diagnosing the cause of the AC failure. Later that day, the service adviser contacted the customer to update him and to let him know that the engine light repair was completed but that we wanted to keep the vehicle overnight to work on the AC the next day and double-check that the engine light remained off. The next morning, service was able to find the AC leak. We replaced the condenser part (which we had in stock) but had to order the "O" ring seal (which we did not have in stock). After the "O" ring arrived later that day, we road tested the vehicle and determined all concerns were fixed. It appears that there was a misunderstanding about when the vehicle was ready for pick up during the original call to the customer. When the service adviser contacted the customer that first day with an update, only the engine light concern was resolved at that time.

I feel it appropriate to write a short subsequent review in light of what's occurred over the last week. After posting my initial review, I was contacted by General Manager Jason Vianese, who I had previously not dealt with. Jason was very apologetic about my experience and made no excuses for what had occurred. He assured me that this is not how Richard Chevrolet conducts its business but acknowledged that they failed to meet their standards in this particular case. I appreciated the honesty and the responsibility taken by Jason on behalf of the dealership. He further explained that owner, Mr. Richard Jaffe, was out of State when I sent him the email and didn't respond because he was under the impression that the issues were resolved. I appreciated knowing that I was not ignored, but rather, some miscommunication had occurred. Mr. Jaffe has since contacted me via phone and we had a very nice discussion during which he extended his sincerest apologies. As a good-faith gesture, Richard Chevrolet has reimbursed me for the cost of the starter as well as the installation. To me, this shows how vested they were in making sure that my experience with their dealership became a pleasant one. I do believe that my initial experience with Richard Chevrolet was an exception rather than a rule. In closing, I extend a personal "thank you" to Jason Vianese and Mr. Jaffe for acknowledging my frustration and correcting the problem. This truly speaks to their character both as individuals and as a business and I have a restored faith in Richard Chevrolet.

We apologize that Gary had such a difficult time with the issues he had with the Suburban. From Payless making a mistake with the glass, to the lack of response from us. We strive to respond to our customers and make sure they are completely satisifed. In this case we did not achieve that standard. As Gary mentioned the correct glass was installed and cover was received. We spoke regarding the starter and will be reimbursing Gary as a goodwill gesture. We also apologized that Mr. Jaffe did not call but he was out of state. He was aware of the issue and thought it had been resolved. We appreciate Gary's business and bringing this to our attention.
