At Richard Chevrolet we analyze the local market every week to make sure our vehicles are competitively priced in the marketplace so that what our customers view online is accurate and attractive. As the customer stated, they were interested in a 2008 Jeep and made an offer which we did not accept. A week later, the customer presented a revised all inclusive offer (with tax, title, etc.). Unbeknownst to the vehicle specialist, the vehicle reached a certain number of days in our inventory which warranted a price reduction. A different customer came in on the revised online price and purchased the vehicle. The customer who purchased the vehicle was neither a friend or team member of the dealership. The revised price was posted online for public viewing and the purchaser contacted us. We sincerely regret that the vehicle specialist did not present this customer's last offer to our pre-owned manager. The customer made us aware of what had occurred and our Assistant General Sales Manager called and spoke to the customer. We apologized for the lack of communication and appreciate them bringing this to our attention so we can improve our process.
