If I could give them a 0 I would but it wasn't an option. Rich Morton Mazda in Pasadena, MD is engaging in poor business practices. I bought a used vehicle from them on August 10. I did my due dil option. Rich Morton Mazda in Pasadena, MD is engaging in poor business practices. I bought a used vehicle from them on August 10. I did my due diligence and checked the CARFAX, Kelley Blue Book value, took it for a test drive, opened the hood, etc. The vehicle did have an extremely strong odor. My husband and I live in Southern MD and because of our distance to the dealer and 3 small children we took the vehicle home with a written "I Owe You" from the dealer that they would pick up the car and clean and deodorize it through a process that involves cleaning the vents. They picked up the vehicle and returned it to us on August 14 but it still had a very strong odor. I paid to get the car detailed with my own $ yesterday. Today the detailer replaced the air filter for me as well only to find mouse/mice droppings and urine on the filter which was the source of the odor. I called the General Manager and he was unwilling to do anything about it, was rude, and didn't acknowledge that they never did their due diligence and actually cleaned the vehicle like they described. I can't understand why the detailer found the source of the issue but the dealer did not. This vehicle 'passed' a MD inspection. I reported them to Fox 45 Baltimore News, BBB and Mazda Corporate but this level of professionalism is unacceptable. I would like this story to get air time so other customers won't be taken advantage of. The pictures I have show food the mice carried into the air filter compartment, and the urine/feces filled air filter. We were also told by the detailer that a mouse (or mice) still may be in the vehicle so we laid traps tonight. This is completely unacceptable and uncleanly. I have 6-month old twins and a 4-yr old who have been inhaling that waste. In addition they have touched parts of the car. The dealership needs to take this vehicle back and return me my money. They did not hold up their end of the bargain which was eliminate the source of the odor More
You can't trust the prices they list on their website. A car that is listed as "certified" is, as you find out when you sit down to do the paperwork, actually just eligible to be certified. If you want it t car that is listed as "certified" is, as you find out when you sit down to do the paperwork, actually just eligible to be certified. If you want it to be certified, you have to pay an extra $1500. Never mind that the listing says "certified" on the picture and the listing says a certain price; they act totally surprised that you could get the impression that the listed price includes the warranty. It's like saying "Well, in the picture the car has tires, but that just means that these wheels are capable of having tires on them. If you want tires, that will be $200 each or we'll throw in the whole set for $950." Maybe this is what everyone does, I don't know. Nobody should do it, though, and Rich Morton could have chosen to do the right thing but they didn't. More
CONMEN PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't bother buying one of their classic or used or even new!! My father purchased a 1969 GTO from the dealership last month. Man PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't bother buying one of their classic or used or even new!! My father purchased a 1969 GTO from the dealership last month. Many pictures were sent along with many conversations on how perfect was this vehicle. When the vehicle was delivered it wouldn't start and had to be towed to the local mechanic. Timing, transmission issues, and other problems. Morton Mazda said get it fixed. The mechanic said the car was faulty leaving the dealership, but yet an additional car inspection was done no paperwork regarding that. Also if that was done most likely the inspection wasn't done or it was fraud. Once the vehicle was delivered there was some minor paint defects along with interior defects. That wasn't disclosed. My opinion go elsewhere. LIES and more Lies. I wish they were local to my area i would have this conversation in person. More

E Price scam / Bait and Switch Attempted an internet E Price bait and switch on me today. I had purchased two vehicles there in the past, but I'll never go back after today's experi Attempted an internet E Price bait and switch on me today. I had purchased two vehicles there in the past, but I'll never go back after today's experience. I filled out a form on their website that promised me a locked in E Price in a Mazda 6 at $25,363 - When we got to crunching the numbers it went up to 30K and it was explained to me that I didn't qualify for any of the discounts but how could they know... They never asked any questions relevant to that. Regardless, there is no fine print on the site, it said my price was "locked in" I had a screen cap on it and they didn't want to honor their own website. Don't waste your time with Rich Morton. More
Cars listed on website do not exist; Window stickers removed UPDATE: The car they told us is not available OR the one they lie about one by saying that it has preferred trim, still available on their websit UPDATE: The car they told us is not available OR the one they lie about one by saying that it has preferred trim, still available on their website 4 days after... Original review: I saw one review of this place that starts with: "Don't walk run out of this dealership. You can't trust..." believe it is true!! We came looking for a new car. First they advertise the best unbelievable deal in the world. I guess we went for it. We arrived on Saturday. We went to look at the car, got keys. Hm now we saw why it was cheaper. They removed sticker with name and model trim, hopping for uneducated consumer who doesn't know the difference between one trim and another. They were selling base Mazda 3 and advertising it as preferred trim. When we mentioned it to the guy he went and talked to his manager, after half an hour back and forth he come back to us with MSRP value of the same car (with correct trim), so to explain, they increased price by $9000. For previous year model, price at MSRP was in 26.5k and advertising was 17.5k. We got our car that day, from another dealer... Sure we didn't get it to 17.5, but it was no were close to what they were offering. All other dealers were advertising theirs cars right under 20k. And all of them were ready to honor their claims.. What Rich Morton Mazda is doing is not legal. They're simply cheating, selling you cheaper model so you would think you got great deal. I am sure that during last minute when they give you paper to sign they will put correct model so you would not be able to sue them later. Mazda made it easy, there no abbreviation on the back of the car, like SE, LE, XLE or something like that. All Mazda car of the same model don't have an indication of the trim level at the back of the car. Only VIN number can tell you real trim level. My advice, avoid this dealership, don't even come close, you will be cheated on one way or another. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! More

Nice experience, I was impressed with them I was impressed with the entire staff at Rich Morton today. As some reviews noted, the buying experience was a bit slower than expected, but the reas I was impressed with the entire staff at Rich Morton today. As some reviews noted, the buying experience was a bit slower than expected, but the reason was that they were taking care of all the payoff/credit/paperwork without me actually sitting there watching them. Instead I was able to chill out in the lounge and watch a movie. I came in pretty much knowing exactly what I wanted and what dollar values I was expecting for everything, and Rich Morton nailed it. I did miss out on an offer I was expecting to take advantage of (by a day!), but they took the time to show me the formal Mazda paperwork indicating the effective dates and explain how the incentives work, which I really appreciated. Sales and finance staff were courteous, professional, and laughed at my stupid jokes all day (+1 point there). I like the location as well, my previous Mazda came from a dealer that was/is impossible to get in and out of, Rich Morton's lot is both accessible and tidy. New customer, and so far so good.
