Kia no longer makes the part, and they just keep pointing fingers at each other as to whether it is the dealership's fault or Kia's fault. They are both the same to me. I ended up buying a new Nissan Kicks without trading this car in (after they stopped providing a loaner) because I love my Rio and I would not accept the $2600 trade-in for a vehicle I would expect to end up in the same situation in 10-12 years; especially when it was worth a lot more when I brought it in with only 88,275 miles on it. We keep our vehicles in a garage and they are well maintained so we expect to have them until we trade them in. Most times we keep them for at least 16 years, but our other vehicle is 20 years old this month. I will NEVER buy another Kia. In my opinion, they shouldn't import them into this country if they can't provide parts for at least 15 years. This practice of making cars like computers that need to be changed out every 5 years is not environmentally friendly and should be discontinued. I don't like the feeling of my car taking control of how I drive any way. In my opinion, it can cause accidents. I also think it quite dishonest to have a 4 star rating based on the location, not the current owner. More
My wife brought our 2013 Kia Rio in for 2 recall updates on 6/19/2024. The car had NO mechanical issues whatsoever. It ran perfectly. This is a car with about 88K miles on it. It still has a LOT of life in on 6/19/2024. The car had NO mechanical issues whatsoever. It ran perfectly. This is a car with about 88K miles on it. It still has a LOT of life in it and was garage kept. They tried to run the update for the security issues Kia is dealing with, and it FRIED the Body Control Module. The “brainiacs” at Kia manufacturing had decided to quit making the part which would fix the car. So, our car has been sitting at Tameron Kia Westbank in Harvey since the day it was brought in OVER 4 months ago. BEWARE if you’re considering buying a Kia vehicle. They could possibly PREMATURELY quit making important parts to repair a vehicle as in our case. The driver’s side window is down because the BCM controlled that. Also, the blinkers, lights, hazard lights, among other things don’t work. VERY FRUSTRATING, to say the least…😡 As of 11/5/2024, the vehicle is STILL sitting at the dealership! They sent the Body Control Module to be “repaired.” It’s been in their possession (Tameron Kia Westbank) since the end of last week. Supposedly, an “appointment” was made to install the BCM in the car yesterday. The whole day goes by with NO update. My wife texts the GM of the dealership this morning for an update. No update. We go in to the dealership after not hearing anything. The GM tells us he didn’t want to call us yet because there’s more bad news. (As if we wouldn’t have found out as MORE time had passed) They installed the “repaired” BCM. Now, the car won’t even start when it at least ran before. Now, they’ll just do as Steve Miller says in one of his songs…TIME KEEPS ON SLIPPING, SLIPPING, SLIPPING, INTO THE FUTURE because they’ll just “drag their feet” like we haven’t been inconvenienced enough for well over four months.😡😡😡 More
I walked in to Tameron Kia to pay cash for a car and walked out with a financed car because they said it would give me discounts. The car was 22000 and ended up paying over 27000. I feel abused as I am walked out with a financed car because they said it would give me discounts. The car was 22000 and ended up paying over 27000. I recently had a very disappointing experience at Tameron Kia Westbank on Saturday, Aug 3, 2024. After waiting for 3 hours to get a salesperson to assist us, we negotiated a deal and shook hands on Tameron Kia Westbank on Saturday, Aug 3, 2024. After waiting for 3 hours to get a salesperson to assist us, we negotiated a deal and shook hands on it. However, I was shocked to have the dealership revoke the agreement. This kind of behavior is unprofessional and reflects poorly on their integrity and customer service. At the last minute, they told me that the paperwork I had signed was not for the car I originally wanted and agreed to. If I wanted to get the car I had initially chosen, I would have to pay $90 more every month, bringing the total to $1090 per month. This last-minute change is completely unacceptable and feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. They even brought the car to the back to get detailed. Luckily, my husband checked the VIN and model. They tried to give us a lower model with the price we agreed on for the higher model. This level of dishonesty is appalling. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that we have already purchased three cars from this dealership: one Sportage and two Tellurides. Despite being loyal customers, we were treated with disrespect. The sales manager, David C Murray. He told me that there was no person I could talk to about this matter and that I couldn't talk to anyone else When I asked to speak with his supervisor or someone in a higher position. This response left me feeling even more discriminated against and unheard. I can't believe that a reputable dealership would treat a customer this way, especially based on ethnicity and gender. Afterwards, I found out the store manager, Craig, was sitting there the whole time. Instead of helping out with the situation, they just let it happen. I expected a reputable dealership to honor their commitments and treat all customers with respect, but instead, I was left feeling misled and frustrated. Due to their unethical practices and discriminatory behavior, I will be pursuing legal action. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable car buying experience. More

When I arrived, someone took my info and I said I had an appointment for 8:30am. I was kinda surprised he told me the wait time for an oil change would be 1 hr 45 min. All chairs in waiting room were filled appointment for 8:30am. I was kinda surprised he told me the wait time for an oil change would be 1 hr 45 min. All chairs in waiting room were filled so I sat in the lobby. About an hour wait, I went to the restroom and then went in wait room to get a water. Before I got one, I noticed my car parked outside the door. No one contacted me, so I don't know how long it was there. I went outside to find someone to see if my car was done...about 5 min later someone got the paperwork and brought me to cashier. Then I left. More
