Been wooed I went to this dealer for oil change and want to change the compartment air filter. Was suggested to do the 30K maintenance although the mile number i I went to this dealer for oil change and want to change the compartment air filter. Was suggested to do the 30K maintenance although the mile number is not 30K yet, the strong reason is that the air filter itself is going to take about 100 bucks, I trusted what they said and drop the car for the service but found the filter itself is only 20 something and I complains about that before I make payment. I was told the others are for labor by another guy. Change filter need $70 for labor? I took it out in 30 seconds before. Why they are cheating on me, I am really not happy More

Sale that didn't happen I started looking at new cars in Jan. I was set to buy a Toyota but saw reviews that rated Honda higher. After being greeted at the door, I was passed I started looking at new cars in Jan. I was set to buy a Toyota but saw reviews that rated Honda higher. After being greeted at the door, I was passed on to Stephen, who had been on the job for one week. I told him I was comparison shopping. I looked at the Civic and was impressed. Stephen gave me brochures. A week or so later, I brought in my husband and he did a test drive. As we were leaving, we noticed the hatchback, which we thought we would like better than the sedan. However, I was interested in the Touring model, which was not available at that time. There was no firm date as to when it would be available for sale and no pricing information. Stephen continued to call me and I kept asking for pricing which he said they didn't know. Finally he said that one was on order. I told him to let me know when it came in. In the meantime, I went on-line and checked to see availability at another dealer. I thought they had one so I emailed them about pricing. I received an immediate reply and was told they didn't have the Touring model yet. They offered to work with me but I told them I just wanted to know what the cost differential was between models and what features the different models had. They responded with that information immediately. When Stephen called, I again asked about the price and again he didn't know, until I told him I got a figure from the other dealer. At this point he talked to his manager and came back with a ballpark figure. (His excuse, he couldn't give the exact cost. I told him several times that an estimate was ok, because of course there would be variables that would impact pricing.) I told him to let me know when the car came in. Unfortunately when the car came in, I was out of town and it was sold before I could look at it. I already knew the color I wanted, but wanted to be able to test drive the vehicle (at this point I hadn't driven the hatchback or even sat in it). Stephen told me they had another one on order and it would be available in about a month. I told him I was going to be out of town for several weeks during that time, but if it was sold, I could wait. As it turns out, the car came in 2 days before I was scheduled to leave, but I did not have the time to look at it. This was on Feb. 23. I sent my husband instead. He did a test drive and told Stephen I would love it. When I returned, I set up an appointment, 2 days before I am to leave on another trip. In preparation for my appointment, we checked availability for the color that I wanted (found one at another dealer--I assumed my dealer would trade with the other for the color I wanted). I also checked prices to see what would be a fair/reasonable price to pay. I went in, did the test drive, had some questions and was told not to worry about them because after I bought the car he would go over everything with me. I did tell Stephen right off that I didn't like the color of the car and the other dealer had the one I wanted. Finally came to the price. I was actually pleased with the price. I told Stephen I would like to take the figures home to show my husband and would come back after I am back from my trip in about 2 weeks. At this point he excused himself and I assumed he went to talk to the manager. When he came back, his attitude had changed and he said he had worked hard for me for 89 days and I was shopping around and he didn't think I was going to buy the car from them. He didn't want to waste any more of my time or his time. 89 days? The car wasn't even available when I first went in. I only got to test drive it and see it that very day. And, they wouldn't even tell me what the ballpark sticker price was until I contacted someone else and then all of a sudden the figures magically appeared. After arguing a bit with him on his details and being dismissed as a waste of time, I left. Working hard for me for 89 days? He gave me a few brochures, called me numerous times and went on some test drives with me and my husband. He talked about respect, loyalty and integrity, all virtues I can relate to. Did I receive them? I think not. I was ready to come back from my trip and buy the car. After being insulted because I did due diligence and tried to be an informed consumer, I'll buy a car from any place else. Update: the sales manager responded and asked me to contact him. I followed up after returning from my trip. He wasn't in and I didn't leave a message. The second time I called he wasn't in and I did leave a message with my phone number. He never called me back. My review still stands. I bought the car from another dealer with no drama, no hassle, no misinformation, no insults. More
