Randy Kuehl Honda responded

Good Morning Mr. Amosson, I reviewed your complaint with the Randy Kuehl Honda Service Consultant. I completely understand your frustration in this matter, and it is not that we refused to replace your battery. It is the case that American Honda holds the warranty on the battery and we must produce a failed battery test in order for American Honda to cover the warranty expense for replacement. Without that failed battery "code" the warranty claim will not be paid. If possible I would like to get the case number for your call to American Honda as this information needs to be passed along to my District Parts and Service Manager from American Honda. I feel their "reason" is unacceptable to say the least. Also, if you would care to provide me a receipt for your AutoZone battery, I would be happy to communicate with American Honda and ask that they participate in reimbursing you for that charge. I look forward to hearing from you soon if you would like to pursue this matter. Thank you for your time, Paul Thulin Parts and Service Director
