We recently worked with John to purchase the 2012 Nissan Rogue. We were well prepared for this transaction and John knew that we had our facts in order and he didn't need to "sell" us on the car as much as Rogue. We traded in a 2004 Xterra and when the vehicle was assessed and we were presented with a figure we knew we were getting a fair deal on trade. From there the rest of the transaction was effortless. John is well informed about the vehicle and he knows how to quickly size up his customers to understand their needs. My only complaint with the entire process is minor. When meeting with Finance we did get the feeling that his demeanor toward us changed when we refused the extended warranty. While it wasn't anything that would make us walk away from the deal it is still something worth mentioning. It is unfortunate to encouter a salesman like John only to risk a customer walking away with a bad feeling in the end. More
I HATE buying a car, but I needed a new car and wanted before 2011 ended. I looked at Ford, Honda and my son suggested I look at the Rogue. All three served my purpose so it was about price and service. Honda didn't have any cars (CRV) in stock. In typical US car dealers, the Ford people weren't totally truthful. Really, they outright lied about availability. In addition, they quoted a price, then told me they couldn't find the car they quoted a price on. The DCH Nissan in Freehold made buying a car very simple. The salesman showed me a vehicle that served my needs. He was professional and knowledgeable (Jim Small). He gave me some idea of pricing. Of course, they bring in the SALES MANAGER (Eric) to see if they can 'close the deal'. His initial offer was ok, not great...I told him where I needed to be on a monthly payment and within 5 minutes, he came with a number that worked for everyone. He was professional, fair, and direct. He told me what he can do and what he can't do. I went home, talked to my wife, and went back and signed the papers. In 90 minutes, I was driving home in my new car. More

I was shopping for a 2011 Murano LE and came across DCH of Freehold, as it was the only dealership in 60-70 miles which had the color and options combination I wanted. I spoke to a guy name Chris over the phone and asked whether that vehicle is still in stock and will they match Truecar.com price. I was told yes and yes to both of those questions and was asked to visit, I wanted to find out how much they are going to offer for my trade-in vehicle, so I visited the place. Before visiting office, I used the appraisal tool available on DCH's website to appriase my car and it returned a range of $4500 - $6750, knowing it is just a site and the actual offer will be less I said to myself I will be OK if I get something around $3000. To my surprise they offered my $1500 and started educating me on various things about my car; such as, have I ever replaced steering system, I said no, well that is bad cause with this many miles and 10 year old model it can go bad anytime, and according to Mike, manager of some sort there, when knobs of the tires are gone the tire is considered worn! yes those little rubbery spikes on new tires, (Mike you need to learn good excuses, as this was very very LAME). Mike started to raise his voice since he didn't have any logic to back his statments, at that time I got up and left. Long story short, It was a complete waste of time, Mike's attitude was unbearable, I wonder who made him a manager. DCH called me twice after I left that day and I finally told them to stop bothering me, I have already purchased the vehicle from another place. I am so glad that I didn't give them my business and went to the dealer who had the lowest prices on Truecar.com, they happened to have exact same vehicle BUT with black interior instead of my prefered, Tan. Over the phone this other dealer offered $2500 minimum for my trade but when I showed up, he up it to $3000. A win-win for me, now I have been enjoying the vehicle for over a month. More

John was not trying to just sell a car but rather accomodate our needs during the process. We did not feel pressured at all at any point. John pushed for the best possible deal he could provide to us and we walked away with a brand new car that night. By the time we left that night it was late and there was not time to top off the gas tank and detail the car. John told us to bring the car in anytime and they would fill the tank (which they did!) and give it a full detail. John called us the next day to see how we liked the car and make sure there were no problems. John made our experience a very pleasurable one. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase or lease a new car but certainly ask for John as he will work to have you leave a happy, satisfied customer! More
