My salesperson, Ray Phifer, was very low pressure and gave me a great price before I leave the dealer on my first trip. All my research showed that the price I was quoted (without have to go back and forth between the sales person and the manager) was below all those pricing programs that are out there. I told him I wasn't ready to make a decision and he respected that and did not pressure me at all. I returned on Saturday to drive it again and ask a few questions. By the time I left, I felt completely comfortable with the car and the dealership. I already had plans that evening so we made an apt for the next morning when they opened. I arrived at opening time, asked a few more questions. The negotiation took less than 2 minutes as they had already given me their best price and I felt it was a very fair price. I would highly recommend a Subaru and RK as a dealership. More

Initially when I test drove the Crosstek and then the Forester, I decided that the Forester was better suited for my needs (since i have a second home on top of a mountain), the one that i was test driving was perfect except for the fact that I needed a GPS in it. Somewhere during the conversation my boyfriend (who works at Best Buy) mentioned we could get one installed through Best Buy and it would be a better price with his employee discount than the one that comes in the Subarus. And i told him and my sales man that because of previous bad experiences with a after market bluetooth radio that disabled the buttons for my GPS in a Nissan Murano I used to own, I was willing to pay the extra for the dealership to get me the one that is meant to come with the vehicle. As those are perfectly integrated with the vehicle and all the accessories. Well to make a long story short the manager told my salesman that because my vehicle was a base model a Subaru GPS could not be installed. And this is where things get MESSY, we don't remember that being CLEARLY conveyed to us that what we weren't getting a Subaru GPS because it wasn't possible with my base model i was purchasing. They had written it in the contract that they owed us a "AFTERMARKET GPS" but it was so late 8pm and we had been there a couple hourse we were tired and ready to get the paper work over with, we failed to carefully read that part, other wise I WOULD HAVE NOT gone throught with the purchase. Point is there was miscommunication between the sales man and us. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITHOUT CAREFULLY READING ALL OF IT, if you must take the paperwork home sleep on it and READ IT AGAIN in the morning. I really wish i had, because once you sign those papers and drive the car off the lot thats it there is NO GOING BACK. Well needless to say, they installed a very high tech Pioneer GPS/Bluetooth/Fancy radio that my sales man and everyone else tells me is a way better system than the one that comes with the Subarus. MY PROBLEM is I am NOT tech saavy, I like simplicity and I had no clue how to use this thing I was ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS considering this thing yelled at me whenever i went even 1mph over the speed limit lol and i had no clue how to even type in an address. I called the dealership furious UNFORTUNATELY it was thanksgiving week and my manager was on vacation. I dindt know what to do i was literally in tears. The manager called me and he set up a meeting with us to resolve the issue. At this point i had been stewing over this for about a week, and my boyfriend had to drive all the way from Staunton just in case i wanted a refund he'd have to sign off on it so you can imagine i was not a happy camper. The manager Gary was extremely pacient with me because he understood that a lot of us aren't tech saavy, and that the night that we signed the paperwork it was late and it was done in a rushed manner since it was late and we were all tired. He thought we knew what we were getting. He said that at that point he'd be willing to do anything (within reason) to make things right. He got one of the more experienced gentlemen to come in the car with me and step by step teach me every single setting and detail. He even offered to let me pick out a GPS of my choosing and switch it out for me. He did everything in his power to make things right after such a frustrating misunderstanding.... At the end of the day, yes this is a "better" navigation system it will just take some getting used to and i want to thank the manager for really going out of his way to personally dealing with this matter. Great service! Did all they could to get us a safe new vehicle for our children. Our credit was less then great but they still made it happen for us! We came home with a new Subaru impreza with low month vehicle for our children. Our credit was less then great but they still made it happen for us! Actually, it was very stress free. My brother referred us and told us who to talk to. Our salesman was super. He was very knowledgeable about Subarus. He talked to me throughout the test drive telling us and told us who to talk to. Our salesman was super. He was very knowledgeable about Subarus. He talked to me throughout the test drive telling me the "what" and "why." I came there pretty knowledgeable about the Crosstrek, but he pushed our understanding to a new level. It was really great. When we were back at the dealership talking, he brought my wife coffee and snacks. I don't remember the finance manager, but he was very professional. He was just as good, if not better. Our salesman stayed with us the whole time. We were talking, and before you knew it, all the papers were signed and we were out the door. We like the Crosstrek a lot. Oh, we're planning on driving it a long time, I'm thinking 20 to 25 years. And then we'll come back here for the next one. More
I went to RK Subaru to have a tuneup done, my appointment was for 9:00 a.m. After waiting 3hrs they came out and told me I needed addidtional work, I okayed it, I need gaskets for them to do the tune up. Af was for 9:00 a.m. After waiting 3hrs they came out and told me I needed addidtional work, I okayed it, I need gaskets for them to do the tune up. After leaving the service dept 5 1/2 hrs later, why it took so long they couldn't tell me, I left only to have my Subaru Forester start to over heat. I called the service dept, but they had left for the day, i had to get my neighbor to go and purchase some antifreeze for the car. I was told I got a tuneup and a diagnostic test, and gasket repair, which cost me almost 400.00 dollars, obviously they did not check the fluid levels on the car. Repeat calls to the service managers have gone unanswered. Never again will I do business with RK Subaru, and as a military widow of a veteran, my concern is other military people getting ripped off by this service dept. If other single woman are reading this think twice about taking your vehicle to this place, once they get your money they don't care if your satisfied or not. I want to thank Subaru of America, who were kind enough to help me with this issue. I had to turn to them since no one from RK Subaru Service Dept. would return my calls. More
Went in for an oil change. They put the wrong oil in the car, when I called them out on it I got the run around about how the tech did it for better gas mileage... I bought a WRX , clearly not because its g car, when I called them out on it I got the run around about how the tech did it for better gas mileage... I bought a WRX , clearly not because its good on gas... When I called back again asking for the manager it took several attempts to get some one in the right place and knew what they were doing. I got seriously frustrated and contacted Subaru of America about the whole ordeal. They confirmed with my the oil that RK Subaru had put in was indeed wrong for the car, and they would be contacting them to correct it. Well I took my car back in for them to fix it. Now only a few weeks later I am changing my oil again b/c i notice the oil filter leaking and that my car was low on oil. ITS A 2011 , i should not be leaking oil anywhere.... I will never go back to them nor recommend anyone to them. Can't even do a simple oil change. Only reason we had brought the car to the dealer in the first place was the free maintenance package that came with the car. Never again... More
It was good, very good! I had been looking at new cars and I decided I wanted an Outback. I felt that I got the best deal at RK Subaru and I liked the way that they do business. Lynn is very nice. She s and I decided I wanted an Outback. I felt that I got the best deal at RK Subaru and I liked the way that they do business. Lynn is very nice. She showed me different cars, different models. Another thing that I liked about Lynn was that she was very relaxed. She wasn't pushy and she let the car sell itself. Arsenio made sure that we got4.9% interest and he was good about explaining different options that I could purchase if I wanted to. Overall it was a good experience and we were extremely satisfied.
