After $2500.00 worth of service I found a missing part behind rotor that protects brake lines not re-installed after being worked on. I left work went there and was told they are too busy to do it now and I would have to leave it. I refused. I'm not sure when it started to be ok to be charged for work not completed and not honor appointments. I have my own business and if I make a mistake I do whatever it takes to fix it asap. Our salesman, Mark Pillsbury was fantastic. My husband and I were given a great deal on the Jeep Wrangler. We first went there to look at 2011 Jeep Wrangler and realized that we would get everything my hu and I were given a great deal on the Jeep Wrangler. My wife and I were in the market for a new vehicle since our last one was from 2001. The Winters continue to be harsh as well as the Summer's. We've lived in New England our entire life and wanted an all purpose vehicle that will provide us the best of both worlds, a vehicle exceptional in inclement weather as well as one which is fun to drive in the Summer. With the assistance of Rawls Tiffany, we were able to point point exactly which vehicle we wanted on the lot. After test driving it, we were sold. We landed on the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport with some awesome wheels/rims and a great overall look, include a black top and Dune color. After several weeks, we returned and we reviewed our preferences with Mark. He worked to find an vehicle in the area and found one on the lot that exceeded our wishes and was within the price range we were willing to spend. We returned in three days and went through the procedure of purchasing the vehicle and arranging financing. We were very pleased with the whole process and the staff at the dealership. The dealership is close to where my wife works so service will be much more convenient than travelling farther to save a few dollars. We love our new Jeep and look forward to travelling many miles... Twice I have gone to this dealership, and twice I have walked out and bought cars at other dealers. First time was a few years ago, my wife was looking to buy a Compass. They would not deal with her even though she was the one purchasing the car! We went to Harr in Worcester and bought the car there. Second time was about a month ago. Rawls is a very knowledgeable person regarding Jeep Wranglers and he is very personable. We test drove a Jeep and he contacted another dealer about doing a swap for the car I was trying to find. No response back about that Jeep, and I had to call back twice. I found another Jeep and asked to see if they could locate that Jeep. I was told I would receive a call back within an hour. After 6-7 hours and nothing, I gave up. I did have an email in my spam filter that showed up a around 7 PM. I decided to order a vehicle from the factory and ordered it from a dealer in New Britain, CT. I would not give Putnam Jeep my business. Lastly, 1.5 weeks ago I called the service department to ask about if I bought some MOPAR parts could they be installed at the dealer. A woman took my name and number and said I would receive a call back the next day. I am still waiting......... Overview: Follow up is abysmal and they have lost 2 sales from us. 2 other dealers I reached out to about purchases had incredible follow through, and one won on price so they got my business. Too bad I have to drive over an hour to get the deal versus 5 minutes from my house..... More
Overall a great experience. Peter Place is very knowledgable and friendly. He followed up on details and handled the sale in a very professional but casual manner. The only negative comment I would give would be on the negotiation of the trade allowances. Ultimately, I got what I felt was fair but it took a while to get there. Car we bought a year ago for $19,000. This car has been a lemon from day one. We returned to dealer 3 times for problems with the car within the few 2 weeks. In the last year we have had to put over $1200.00 lemon from day one. We returned to dealer 3 times for problems with the car within the few 2 weeks. In the last year we have had to put over $1200.00 into fixing this car that had only 27,000 miles. They knew this car had problems and sold it anyway. Terrible experience and would advise anyone considering buying a car from them to look elsewhere. :( More
