Dealership Didn't Want to Honor Agreed Purchase Price I called and spoke with Angela, Sale's Manager, John's assistant. I told her that their dealership shows online that they have the car that I want to I called and spoke with Angela, Sale's Manager, John's assistant. I told her that their dealership shows online that they have the car that I want to purchase available, 2017 Elantra Sport Premium, black interior and exterior in automatic. I asked her to verify if they have it. She came back and confirmed that they do have it available. I also informed her that I've been shopping around and the lowest Purchase Price (price before discounts and rebates) I've gotten was $23,466. I also told her that I have a Purchase Order for $23,466 from another dealership (Huntington Beach Hyundai) but unfortunately they sold my car without them contacting me within promised time of one week to come back; they didn't honor it. I then asked her if she can ask her boss if they can give me that price. Her boss, John called me back and said that he'll honor that price of $23,466 and for me to come in. Coming from a place over an hour away, and while stuck in traffic, Yasser Salman from their dealership called me and said that they sold the car through dealership trade and he'll see if he can get it back. He said that their online inventory was not accurate. Yasser called me back right when I got off the freeway and he said that he was able to get the car back. We finally met him at his office and on with the paperwork. I immediately commented on the Purchase Price being off by almost $500; he later adjusted the price to help us with maintenance package. He said that since he had to get the car back, his dealership paid extra. I told him that should not affect our agreement because they were the ones that made a mistake (inventory). I even asked him to call his boss, John over the phone whom promised me the price. John told me that he couldn't honor that price anymore and that I have won and don't make it difficult. Since the black on black version of the car I wanted was hard to find and the fact that Huntington Beach Hyundai dishonored my Purchase Order Agreement , I had no choice but to give in. I was tired and exhausted and didn't want to keep looking any longer. I felt horrible inside and taken advantage of. It was a horrible experience. For a dealership to make an extra $434 in my expense was uncalled for. Please contact them and correct their dishonorable way of conducting business. Hyundai is a very reputable company and Puente Hills Hyundai must adhere to its standards! More
