Title: Avoid Volkswagen of Grapevine – Deceptive Practices & Unsafe Vehicles I purchased a 2024 VW GTI with only 8,000 miles from Volkswagen of Grapevine. The vehicle was sold “AS IS NO WARRANTY” Practices & Unsafe Vehicles I purchased a 2024 VW GTI with only 8,000 miles from Volkswagen of Grapevine. The vehicle was sold “AS IS NO WARRANTY” with the understanding that the factory warranty remained intact. However, I later discovered that the car was being sold as a non-certified vehicle due to the inclusion of aftermarket parts—a fact that no one at the dealership could explain at the time of sale. After a couple of weeks, while I was in for a routine service (a simple wiper blade change), I finally learned that the “non-certified” status was because of these aftermarket parts. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of my troubles. I soon encountered a serious overheating issue: the vehicle now requires costly, extensive “Stage 4” modifications just to operate safely. Driving over a certain speed triggers multiple alerts—including dashboard warnings, on-board notifications, and even alerts sent to my phone—forcing me to stop immediately to avoid the risk of being stranded. Initially my vehicle was in because of overheating issues and the service dept had stated , coolant needed to be topped off , it had only been 3 weeks since i had a 50 point inspection and oil change. Fluid was topped off but next day after reaching a certain speed the issue has once again resurfaced . A gentleman by the name of Dan Watkins initially handled my case, but when the problem escalated, I was informed that it would now be referred to the legal department—despite my dispute letter clearly stating they had 60‑days to resolve this matter. Their resolution is to pass their problems to the VW legal department. Meanwhile , management, including GM Noah Caballero, has repeatedly failed to return my calls or address these dangerous issues. In my experience, Volkswagen of Grapevine has not only practiced deceitful sales tactics by withholding critical information, but their poor follow-through on safety issues has put my family and me at risk. I urge potential buyers to think twice and steer clear of this dealership. More

I like the car that I purchased and the sales experience at the dealership was good. The after sales experience has been sub-par and frustrating. Called for a couple of different issues for parts and paint touchup, and it's an act of Congress to get a call back. After following instructions, I requested paper copies of the sales and finance documents online and received nothing after waiting 2 weeks. I called and spoke to finance manager and he said that he would get them mailed out “today”. It’s been over 6 weeks and I’ve received nothing. Still have not received my plates or registration sticker, 2 months after purchase, and the temporary tag expired. So difficult to get hold of anybody as they are "in a meeting". Customers are not important enough to leave the "meeting" and deal with important issues. I have a job too, and have to take time out of it, multiple times, to deal with this issue. They only value their own time. Have to wait hours before they call back or didn’t and I had to call again. Get transferred around and then hung up on. This happened multiple times. Called the DMV and no paperwork for registration has been filed as of 1/6/25. Car purchased on 11/17/24 More
I’ve had so many issues with a brand new car from here and everytime I call, no one cares. I brought my Atlas in because the screen doesn’t work when it’s hot and shows static all over the screen about e and everytime I call, no one cares. They said they would order a new screen and call me. 4 months later, after no update, I show up and they tell me my order was probably cancelled by Volkswagen due to undetermined issues. No notice. This was a 50k purchase that I deeply regret. Oddly, the gentleman who sold us the car was fired a few days later. We were sold car car that someone else had ordered. Sold before it entered inventory. Aside from that, we were given paperwork for a completely different VIN atlas and didn’t find out until the end, when conveniently we had to pay more for the car we thought we had already made a deal on. Ridiculous. More
I pulled into this dealership on accident and ended up leaving with the perfect vehicle that fit all of my needs and my price range.
