I ordered a 2022 Maverick hybrid pickup on 8/13/2021 knowing that it would be a while since they weren’t in production yet. The GM walked me through the ordering process and I received confirmation fro knowing that it would be a while since they weren’t in production yet. Well, 15 months later Ford delivered the truck, a bit longer than anyone expected. Going into the dealership I had no idea what to expect more than a year since the order was placed. I think this is the first time i have had an AWESOME experience buying a new car! Prince Frederick Ford honored the original numbers to the penny and honored the financing that was available from the original order date (.09%). I know that this is how Ford Motor Co. wants vehicle orders handled but there have been many cases where dealers have tacked on premiums for these trucks because of the rising market value and difficulty in getting stock.
